He looked at Red then Blast as the two spoke there "hmm? Why do I need to see her?" he asked, rather confused. He rolled his eyes at Blast's comment about him watching the omega "that's a pretty harsh way to say thing Blast" he said.

"We're not much of fighters, but Storm Runner or I will start spending some nights here with you when you feel you're close to whelping. That way we'll be on call the moment you need us." He hummed in addition, thinking about it. Razzberry's pups would be the first born to the revived Dark Void, it was going to be a very special moment. He wagged his tail slightly at the thought. "Is there anything else I can do for you, Razzberry?" He asked her.

"That's no way to talk about a pack mate, Blast." Renn snapped at the fighter, horrified he would say such things so easily. "Soulfire is very sweet, but she's strong as well. Beta may not have suited her but she is no failure. She just had a different calling." She narrowed her eyes at the brute before turning her back on him, nodding to Rex. "C'mon, I'm ready, we can head out." She was frowning, troubled by the conversation. She knew not everyone thought highly of omegas but Blast had been particularly harsh about it. She wasn't sure if Rex really had a crush or not, but she was glad regardless that he didn't join in on making fun of Soulfire.

indentStorm Runner hummed at the explanation, glad that it was just a rock. Well, it was a little concerning a rock sizeable enough to reopen scar tissue had made its way into a den, but at the very least it was unlikely that the rock was carrying any sort of infection that would impede the healing process.
indentStorm had also made note of some, hm, bitterness perhaps? in the way she spoke of her rank. He filed that away for now, choosing instead to respond to the rock. "I was wondering where you were going earlier, I appreciate you disposing of it so thoroughly. It's been a while since I've been around pups but I know how easy it is for them to find trouble." He licked the wound a good few times to clear away the welling blood before he gently patted down some sphagnum moss on top of it to staunch the flow.
indent"I'm going to apply some pressure until the bleeding is controlled." He explained again. "It's going to feel uncomfortably heavy when I start to put some of my weight on you but it should not cause any excess pain. If it becomes too much tell me and I'll stop, but given the depth and placement I shouldn't need to hold it for more than a few long moments." Snowy had been nicked by an antler while hunting once and Storm Runner had spent the greater part of the night trying to wrangle the bleeding under control. But, while certainly more than just a scratch, this was small compared to that.

indentSeveral long, awkward moments later, Storm Runner eased up on the pressure, removing his paws from where he was pressing firmly against Raunuam's haunch. Peeling the moss back gently, he examined the wound again, careful not to break the tentative scab that was starting to form. Dropping the spent moss off to the side in a pile to be disposed of later, Storm packed on a lighter layer of fresh sphagnum and bound it tightly around her leg with thick swatches of cobweb. "If you start to bleed through come back to see me, otherwise I'll want to check it again next morning. I'm sure you already know to keep from doing anything strenuous that might reopen it." Storm instructed.
indentHe moved to clean up but hesitated a moment, turning back before Raunaum could fully leave the den. "I know we've never been particularly close.. but if there's ever anything you need to talk about, anything you need to get off your chest, I'm here to listen. Healing goes beyond just physical wounds, my mentor always said." He may have rushed the words out a little bit but he was completely genuine about it. Raunuam wasn't the most social of wolves, so he might be reading too much into the way she had worded things earlier, but Storm had found his intuition to be rather primed due to the nature of his work. There was a nagging doubt in his gut and it was usually right.
indentNot that he'd press if his packmate had no interest in talking to him. He should get this bloodied moss out of camp to bury anyways.

Thordane may think it to be fully possible for Krux to do something, but he didn't seem particularly worried or stressed over it. "You knew him better than me at least, if you think it's unlikely for him to launch a direct attack then it may be. I don't know that I like the thought of him planning something else any better though. What if he tries to go for Razzberry's pups? Their father is still in his pack, do you think he might think they belong to Bear Claw because of that?"

It was weird not having a lead fighter anymore to organize them, and Baron was a strong contender for the position. Hopefully he wouldn't mind her taking charge of this makeshift patrol.

indentation It didn't take all that long for him to find the source of the howling, but Amarok didn't approach. Mostly because Kendall and Lorelai were already there. So instead of showing himself and possibly startling the young pup, the male took to making sure the surroundings were free of danger. Making sure to keep silent, the brute began slow circles around the three from his original position. Quietly nosing the ground periodically, before lifting his head to taste the air. Of course, Rok's sense of smell wasn't the best, which was why he hadn't become a hunter. His skills were in his fighting ability and his strong hearing, though his eyesight wasn't too bad either. Amarok nearly snorted, the last time he'd tried to lead a hunting patrol in his youth, he'd ended up nose to nose with a fox instead of the lost fawn they'd been tracking. Though to be fair at the time he had been quite terrible at telling different scents apart. Absently, the lead fighter kept an ear on the trio as he circled outwards.

To distract herself the she-wolf brought herself back to his earlier words about pups and trouble. It really is much too easy for pups to get into trouble. Raunaum mused before her mind wandered to the very reason she had that very scar. Or start it. She added darkly, as the male began to ease up on the pressure before the pressure vanished entirely. Her ears perked as Storm rattled off her new marching orders and sighed.

Curiosity burned first before it quickly sparked into irritation, the coals of anger quickly joined the lump of whatever that had pooled in her gut. Her first thought was to lash out in anger, a growl building in her throat as she started to speak. " You speak of what you know nothing about, you useless waste of -" She broke off suddenly, her body language swiftly switching from angry and aggressive to timid and fearful. Breathing out harshly, the she-wolf shook her head, as if attempting to clear away something unwanted from her memory. Taking a deep calming breath, the she-wolf closed her eyes. "My apologies Healer Storm Runner, my emotions got the best of me. I should be going now." Raunaum said both formal and rather monotone, her paws trembling slightly as she limped out of the den as swiftly as she could.

She then flashed the stranger a wink and pulled back and pouted, "I'll make it worth you're while, Cerby." She cooed, as she internally gagged.
