Though she had a pretty clear image in her mind depicting the scenario as he saw it. He moved closer, so close as to say that his muzzle was only an inch at the most away from her own. " My name is Spirit Chaser, but most tend to call me Spirit. Now then, what am I to call you? " She responded, looking into his eyes where she knew she could see a spark of mischief. Though if he were focusing on hers, he would probably be noticing their crystal blue color. And although as she spoke she let the small space between them slip away from her mind, she moved her head away just slightly to give herself some more space to breath once she had finished. As she looked closer at him, she noticed that he seemed rather young, only slightly older than herself if she had to guess.

The cold lake water dripped from his muzzle as he picked his head up to speak to the mare since she hadn't completely ignored him. ''I'm sorry if I startled you. Where's your herd stallion? I'm sure that he'd be very angry if he found me here,'' the white stallion joked as he tried to inquire about the mare's herd. He found it hard to believe that she wouldn't be in a herd, but there was a chance that she wasn't. The stallion of the herd would probably be here by now. He flicked a few flies off of his flank with his tail as he pricked his ears forward to listen to what the mare would say next. His blue eyes were now drawn to her instead of the shimmering lake water.

Terza woke up one morning, feeling all dizzy and icky. But, after the young mare walked up to some grass. And grazed for a couple of hours, she felt a little better. The tiny mare walked to the lake swimming for a few minutes. Coming out then shaking herself. Terza turned her gaze to the far meadow up ahead, snorting and neighing to see if there was anyone near by. But there wasn't, inless, she was mistaken. The mare started trotting to her echo, wondering if that was a different horse, coping her or not.

Cicatrix noted the small movement of Spirit pulling away. He braced himself to break into a run in case she tried to escape but his face was expressionless, giving the mare no sign of his thought process. Carefully, the stallion softened his expression and replied as sweetly as possible, "The name is Cicatrix." His muddy eyes were aflame with a red fury but he forced himself to smile. "What brings a pretty young thing like yourself into the deep dark woods all alone?" As he spoke, he slowly began to minimize the distance to Spirit, coming uncomfortably close to the mare in hopes of being able to herd her inconspicuously.

Pepper gave an amused snort. "I'm in no Herd, I'm a Lone Mare. Does that surprise you?" She neighed, going back for another drink of water. At least this stallion wasn't trying to impress her, or so it seemed. If he did make a move, however, she wouldn't hesitate to leave him without hesitation.

Thunder gave a drowsy snort as he awoke from his slumber. He had fallen asleep unexpectedly as he was travelling last night. His body must have reached its limit, and forced him to fall asleep. He blinked away the sleep from his eyes as he got to his hooves, stretching out his muscles. Thunder then set his eyes on a good patch of grass and began eating vigorously. As his mother always said: "If you want to grow big and strong, eat as much as you can!"

➵XShe started to realize her mistake at letting him get so close to her in the first place. It was becoming dangerously clear that this wasn't just a 'friendly conversation', not that she ever thought it was. She didn't act as if she noticed even as he began to move even closer to her, looking instead towards the water as he responded. " What a unique name, does it have any special meaning? And as for your question, I am in the woods to drink from the water in this pond. I find it more refreshing than other waters nearby, clearer and cooler. I am also alone because I am apart of no herd. " She halfheartedly shifted away from him, making it seem as if just to move around him to get back to where she could take another drink of the water, which was the direction she moved towards. If she leapt over the pond and ran, she could escape. But she'd have to run fast and hope that her top speed would be fast enough. She leaned over and took another drink of the water, looking at both their reflections in the water and getting ready to bolt while still leaving her muscles relaxed. A fly landed on her rump so she flicked it away with her tail. She kept focused on her plan though.

The stallion sighed. "It's the new tissue that forms over a wound." He lowered his eyes and relaxed his body. Suddenly, he stamped his hoof in anger and shook out his entire coat, droplets of water scattering the ground. Cicatrix timidly pawed the ground before releasing an even more exasperated sigh. His eyes glued to the ground, the stallion muttered, "I apologize. I am acting like a colt." He raised his eyes to look into hers but they only met for a moment before the stallion brought his head back down. Embarrassed, Cicatrix stretched his head down to his foreleg and scratched his muzzle upon his fetlock. "I-," he stuttered. With a groan, the stallion flicked his ears and swished his tail. "It's...Spring." He looked back up at Spirit. "Stallions are forming bands and well, I'm sick of being surrounded by bachelor stallions. I don't know any other way to ask: would you be my lead mare?"

He seemed honestly be apologetic for it though moments after. His demeanor seemed to change and that slightly concerned her. As he began to continue to speak, it became evident what he was saying, but unlike any other stallion he seemed to just ask rather than force her to say yes. Then again he probably wouldn't take no as an answer. As suspected, he asked her to join his herd, or rather be the first mare in it. He asked her to not only join his herd but be his lead mare. " I'm.. I.. " She herself seemed to stuttered as she tried to think of what to respond. She raised her head away from the water as she tried to formulate something to say. Something about him made her hesitate saying no, but every other instinct was screaming that very answer.

Cicatrix saw the hesitation in her eyes and lowered his head. He nodded solemnly and then turned with his back towards her. "Who am I kidding? I am still a colt. I guess I'll never be the stallion my father ever was..." He shook out his mane once more before he turned to Spirit once more. Strangely, the stallion seemed elated, not defeated. Something in his eyes eluded to the fact that he wasn't going to take no for an answer. Cicatrix lowered his head passively before suddenly, the stallion reared up and whinnied shrilly. He pinned his ears back and lowered his head and charged Spirit, in a snaking stance. Cicatrix nipped at Spirit's hocks, urging her into a gallop as he let slip his true intentions. "You didn't truly think it was gonna be this easy, did ya?"

She acted more invigorated herself in all honestly though she had in fact been tricked by his actions, though she'd only let herself admit silently that it was for a fading moment. She lashed out a sweet and strong back kick to the center of his chest right as she jumped at the nip to her hocks, easily clearing the small pond with the leap and making a sharp veer to the right, heading into dense foliage which she knew she could run through as she'd done it before. Where she was heading lead to just the place she needed to go to loose him.
