Out of Ashes
The stallion pricked his ears as he heard a replying whinny. He bolted towards the sound, but slowed to a trot as he saw a flash of white. Ash slowed to a walk, being more cautious now. He tilted his head around a tree and slowly approached the white mare, slipping out of the shadows that had cloaked her earlier. "Hello, what is a pretty mare like yourself doing alone?" he snorted softly, starting his attempt to charm the mare.
Echo in the Wind
Echo slowed to a walk and lowered her head to catch her breath. Her ears flicked at a whinny, it was different to the previous nicker and she lifted her head to see a blue roan stallion on the hill. The paint backed away, before turning and disappearing into the forest, invisible except for the occasional flash of brown from the dappled sunlight.
Blue Sorrows
Blue slowed to a walk, and turned her head towards the stallion. Her ears flicked and she let out a cautious whinny in return, flicking her tail. The ebony mare figured that if she were to join a herd, she'd be safe, but it was too soon, what if the stallion wanted a foal? Blue couldn't provide a foal, the last time she'd had a foal, the lead stallion had murdered him before her eyes. The mustang tossed her mane and took a step towards the hill where the stallion was, before taking a step back, she did this dance for a few more seconds before allowing her hoof to hang in the air, torn.
