April : Mare of Five Years, Alone

April waited patiently for her twin brother. Shadow usually didn't stay away for she long. Worriedly, she began to trot towards the far end of the field, and looked as far she she could but no black stallion ever appeared on the horizon.

Indian continued grazing, ignoring Shadow all together. If he had to fight to keep his mare, he would be able to without a problem.

Gypsy snorted and squealed, kicking out at Desi softly, not going towards or directed towards the mare, but was meant for her. She snorted and trotted farther away, snorting. She was old enough to go out on her own! She snorted and started trotting away with dignity and pride, an obvious spark to this young flaxen chestnut filly.

Indian called out to Gypsy, flicking his ears forward as he waited for a response.

A squeal called back, refusing the offer to come back, and it was fairly clear.

Indian snorted and just shook out his mane, walking towards Desi, clearly telling Shadow to leave. He stood between her and Shadow, snorting and pawing at the grass.

Cocoa could smell the scent of Dream's hear so he nosed her rump softly, asking to cover the mare. He flicked his tail, waiting for a reply.

Anaconda pinned his ears back and stopped running around, standing quietly. He looked at Firefly and started to trot away, accepting defeat. After many minutes had past, the young colt heard the whinny of a desperate mare. He nickered back and started to trot in the direction. (for Romance of Chemical's horses.)

Snowflake watched Anaconda leave and she pinned her ears at him for spoiling her little bit of fun. She flicked her scented tail, still not covered. Her heat scent could bring some lone bachelors or stallions to try to claim her. She snorted and shook out her mane.

Firefly walked up to Snowflake and nudged her rump, asking to cover. He swiveled his ears back and forth.

Snowflake flicked her tail, shaking her mane. (Accepted)

~fade~ Firefly groomed her flank. (WB..)

Dahlia whinnied and turned to face Colbalt, a playful glint in her eyes.

Dream snorted slightly against the earth, disturbing the longer strands of grass that poked at her muzzle as she grazed. One oval ear laid back, flat against her head as she spurred herself forward just a couple steps. The grumpy appaloosa huffed finally, flicking her tail to the side, accepting the colts' offer with little emotion.

Romance dug one gray hoof into the damp earth, tearing up a clump of moist soil and fresh grass as she spurred herself into a canter, ears laid back against her head in frustration, though it was not long until she heard the call of a stallion answering her cry- albeit a young one, but that did not matter to her. Romance snorted, letting a soft whinny roll off of rubbery lips as she sped up to meet him expectantly, scented tail flicking against her haunches.

(I just realized that Anaconda keeps finding the mares in the deepest heats. Maybe some stallions should start tailing him. XD)

Snowflake stood for a moment before shaking her mane with a snort. She flicked her tail softly. The grey mare bent down her head and just grazed.

Cobalt watched Dahlia and nickered to her softly, he snorted and pawed at the ground. He looked back up at her and reared lightly, not going far up. He looked at her with perked ears.

Cocoa followed after the mare. {Fade} He groomed her softly, happy with himself.

Highstep-Male-6 years-Loner

Highstep shook his head to fluff out his mane. He nickered, and pricked his ears. The stallion walked a bit away, looked back, and swished his tail towards a little group of trees. It was getting warm, and shade provided coolness.
