Raising his head, Roland's eyes traced Tenshi's movement into the shadows. Already, it appeared that she'd begun to sink back into the shadowy borders of the pack; perhaps for rest. For a moment he caught a glimpse of her eyes against the contrasting darkness; he met it steadily, his seriousness readily melting and re-adapting into something kinder. After some hesitation, the male trotted in her wake to the spot she'd claim. Well, a fair distance from it -- he did not want to be too intrusive.
It seemed that a stronger wind had picked up since their arrival. This one carried a powerful chill, and was not so weak as to fade away slowly. In its current white flecks of snow - at first small, then larger with time - were carried, sprinkling his pelt as he situated himself not far beside Tenshi. Slowly easing onto his haunches, he was grateful for the brief period of rest that he'd have now. Especially in the company of this fae he had only recently met.
"Looks like we're in for a storm," He remarked softly, his eyes narrowing against the torrent of air traveling across the camp. He didn't know if she should expect an answer or not, having known that Tenshi must have been exhausted.

Rising onto my feet, I was left with nothing to
do but accept these inexplicable truths as my last source of comfort.

I wasn't dead. At least, I didn't think so. I don't remember how I got here, or why I came. I could possibly be dreaming, I suppose; that would explain the terribly strange occurrences that haunt every footstep taken in this place. The land itself is disorienting; the scents are dull and I'm beginning to forget things, like my name.
Rylan.
I hadn't lost it yet, the way I have already lost myself, and I can't seem to find a way home. Home. I need to go back, but somehow the task seems impossible. I don't even know which way to walk. I'm tired. And alone. And wet.
But I'm not afraid.

Tenshi looked back up as she heard paw steps coming towards her. She saw Roland walking her way. A new found happiness sparked in her eyes as her friend sat beside her. That was when she felt the strong, bone chilling wind that swept through the camp like the cold claws of an unforgiving hawk as it dove down upon it's prey. Tenshi shiver violently which caused her fur to fluff out and stand on end. When Roland spoke, she looked up at the sky and nodded. A storm indeed, and it seemed like a big one. "Yeah, it looks like a big one. A blizzard maybe. It wouldn't surprise me at this time of the season." she replied in a soft voice that was almost muted out by another gust of wind. Tenshi shivered once more and wrapped her tail around her hind legs. She looked at Roland with wide eyes then back to the sky. It was beginning to get darker as clouds swarmed it's once blue likeness. Would a blizzard really be what's coming? Her question was soon answered as soft, moist snow flakes began to cover her nose. She sneezed and pawed the snow off, shaking her head. A small whimper escaped her and she backed up as far as she could into the dark corner. There was a personal fear behind blizzards that she never told anyone, nor that she ever even thought of. Her ears went down and she lowered her head. No.. Please, not a blizzard...
"Lamb, tell me a story."
"There once was a pale man with dark hair who was very lonely."
"Why was it lonely?"
"All things must meet this man, so they shunned him."
"Did he chase them all?"
"He took an axe and split himself in two. Right. Down. The middle."
"So he would always have a friend?"
"So he would always have a friend."

Jacqueline walked through the camp, a tight bundle locked between her jaws. She had been out collecting herbs to stock up before winter broke out. She had begun work on an older den, improving it to hold her supplies. The dirt still hung under her claws, causing discomfort as she walked. She ignored the rest of the wolves, focused on her work. She had a very important job, and she didn't need any distractions. She could rest during the summer, but she had to be prepared for a deadly winter.

Argos heard the fae's voice and felt the snow beating against his fur. He walked in her direction, his eyes squinting to try and see Aimee through the blizzard. Soon he felt his cold nose on her shoulder and he could feel Konan's presence around them. "Aimee, we must out of the field." He paused. "Konan, there is a dense forest close by. There should be shelter in there." Argos was hoping that Konan would follow, and understand.

Ah, he hoped that Tenshi was not right, but knew better than to guess otherwise. A blizzard, already?
Roland's expression drew up in concern as Tenshi's whimper, barely audible in the flippant wind, reached his ears. Turning to her, now, he could see plainly that the approaching storm troubled her, and with no doubt, she would find it to be uncomfortably cold. The snow that had once speckled his coat now powdered it, as well as the ground. The overcast sky above them had taken on a thick, fluffy look, dulling the scenery with greyness as if sucking out its life. Perhaps winter's grasp was finally upon them.
Ducking his head against the buffeting of the wind, his gaze flashed to Tenshi, whom had withdrawn into the deepest of the shadows. Unfortunately for the twosome, the camp offered little protection form the elements. Beside a few outcropping rocks, as well as a small den for higher ranking wolves, it was considerably barren. With this in mind, Roland shouted above the storm's volume,
"Miss Tenshi. . .Follow me." He reached over cautiously, prodding her with his nose in the direction that he was headed. This particular place was not an acceptable shelter from the blizzard just beginning to brew. In fact, he was sure it would be truly a miserable spot to stay.
Squinting against the onslaught of the wind whipping around them, the male started off towards a gathering of old but stable-looking conifers near-by. One of which, he knew, had been burrowed under by a slightly smaller animal. Luckily, it was just on the outside of the camp and a less tedious trip then spending the night exposed.

Tenshi began shaking with fear at the thought of the incoming storm. What if it is a blizzard? What if it's deadly? Will they survive? Will she survive? Her thoughts were interrupted by Roland speaking above the wind. Follow him? Follow him where? Tenshi didn't care at this point, as long as it's some where safer than here. She slowly stood up as he encouraged her to come along and followed after him cautiously. Her mind was now racing, as well as her heart. Her brown eyes were wide and her ears pinned back on her head. Why must there be a blizzard? Why must it so brutal? she thought as a cold wind buffeted her face. She closed her eyes and winced at it's strength. Whimpering, she opened her eyes again and continued to follow Roland.
