--- He could hear Blue inhale sharply and he knew she felt guilty for the foal. Grim felt bad for making her feel that way. She was so kind. So beautiful. So utterly perfect. And it crushed Grim that he couldn't do anything with her. He couldn't even love her like he wanted to. When she spoke to him, Grim just shook his head, forehead still pressing against her. "I don't want to impregnate some random mare like Pandemic. She has to be special, close to me." Before he knew it, Grim let out a body racking sob, making his body tremble once. "She has to be you." Knowing straight away that what he had said was forbidden her jerked away and approached Mystery, hiding away his sorrow.
The filly already brightened him up. She was so intelligent and strut about with the knowledge of a wise owl. Hearing her scoff, Grim felt a smile tug at his lips. "A lot of things bite, but never for now reason. Wolves bite to eat, birds bite to grab things, she bit for a reason of her own." Grim suddenly nipped Mystery's ribs cheekily, "And I bit you because I felt like it. Got it Sass Queen?" He gave a laugh, simply replying to her next demand but giving a shrug, "Killing is how this world reminds us that we don't live in a fantasy. You may think I'm strange but death is beautiful. Those last fleeting moments are a sight for all witnesses to remember. It's not something to be afraid of." Giving her a nuzzle, he stretched across and nudged the other fillies lightly before ambling off.
Grim shook his head lazily as he tore at grass. Not having any real duty he had allowed his muscled body to grow out a little more and he was now a happily plump male. Grim was not like any other stallion in this area. He didn't care for image since he didn't need to attract mares and he had very little use for muscle. While Grim was still a powerful male, he had the temper of a lamb and so most of the time he was easily pushed around and hurt.
Despite how lazy the gelding was, somehow he had such beautiful and kind friends. Page and Blue had become close to him and he cared for them more than Grim felt was safe. He also adored their off spring. Mystery was an absolute diva and he loved to have a battle of words with her. She was the smartest filly he knew. Then there was Missy. Equally sassy, she was stunning and took after her mother as a leader.
Just as he spoke of her, Grim lifted his head to see the pinto approaching. Pricking his ears he dipped his head in greeting, "Morning to you too, doll." He chuckled as her teeth grazed his ear affectionately. As the filly leaned against him to see over him, Grim held still before he nipped her rump, "I'm not your stool. Use your legs if you want to see what's over me." Grim's words were full of kindness and he winked at her. "You've grown beautiful Missy. I believe you'll become quite popular as time continues forward."

--- When Tidal had finished smooching up to the stallion he breathed out in relief as it wandered off. He could still feel his heart pounding against his chest as he watched the male's figure leave. When he could no longer see the other stallion Tidal spun on his heels and tried to catch the scent of his herd. He was surprised to find that they were very well hidden. It made him proud that they could hide so well. It took quite a bit of moving around with his nostrils flaring before he found them again.
They had moved to a small valley and within, all his mares were safe and okay. Breathing out softly he cantered towards them. He could see that all their bellies were swollen and before he knew it Tidal snorted out a laugh. "Now, you all know I love you regardless of what you look like but seriously, you all look like over ripe peaches. You're all fuzzy and fat." Tidal's cheeks reddened as if he was stunned he had actually said that to his very own mares.
In the end he got over his embarrassment and just laughed openly at their appearance. He loved them all so much, Tidal just laughed and laughed, his body shaking with the effort. It had been a while since he had done so and it took quite a while for him to calm down. It was only once he had managed to stop that he realized if they decided to take revenge it was three against one. And knowing Nowi and Apocalypse, the pair were probably not likely to let this go.
Before they could try and take a shot at him, he skittered to the entrance of the valley, pretending to look like he was checking for enemies. That's when he wiggled his hips mockingly, mooning his herd and raising his tail in an exaggerated stoic position. It was when he was right about to jeer at them cheekily again when he saw something just outside the herd. Narrowing his eyes he instantly picked up a heat scent. A mare. And she was clearly alone. Tidal hadn't thought there would be other horses here but she was an exception. Glancing back to his mares he gave a nicker that said, 'we shall continue this later,' before he trotted out of the valley. Approaching her, he gave a snort to announce his presence, stunned by her blazing golden pelt. "Hello? Miss?" He called to Swift softly.

--- When the mare finally slowed down Pan saw her terrified expression and his own face turned to one of pity. He had always disliked snaking but it appeared to be the most convenient way to go when it came to mares with young. He didn't really want to snap at her and tell her to get moving so he gave her a moment to catch her breath, glancing over to Link who still had that wildly aggressive face on.
Once Image had calmed a little she snapped to Pan that he was to ask for nothing from her and a soft smile fell upon his face. "When around mares I've sort of learned to expect the unexpected. I live in a rather big herd so you can remain angry at me but there is little you can do to avoid your duty as brood." Pandemic knew he was being harsh by labelling her as stock but if she turned out to be like one of the fiery mares he knew he would need to break her spirit to get her to obey.
Walking alongside the mare he didn't try and touch her. He didn't have the right to. As they approached the herd he could smell new blood and lifted his head eagerly. Sure enough near Asuna was a small and shaggy figure. It looked so vulnerable and it ignited a flame within Pandemic. That newborn was his. Arching his neck, Pandemic whinnied to Asuna, his tail raising in pride and his calls praised her for her beauty, strength and for the sheer fact that she had created a new member for the family. Pandemic was eager to go over and see but he knew Asuna would not want him near.
Further off he could scent more horses on the breeze. Pandemic gave a growl. "There are colts nearby." He didn't know where they were but he was not looking forward to dealing with them. Trotting forward a little he called out, "Garry! Thunder, Link! Keep an eye out for more strangers. And where the hell is bloody Lucifer?!"

--- What the hell was wrong with Lucifer? Oh yes, he was utterly insane. He could not believe he had held himself back for this long. Or how he hadn't run away from this scary mare who was so similar to him. His natural instincts demand he claim her. But Lucifer had always rebelled against what was right. When the normal stallions made herds, he travelled the world. When everyone fought, he sat back and laughed at their stupidity. And now here he was, his mind screaming at him to turn tail and leave.
But there was something about her. Looking into her eyes, she was so confident that she would win. She was wrong. Lucifer was the king and he would make it clear. He would make her know she was no one else's and she was to obey his ever command. To heel when asked, to pleasure him when asked. He was tantalized by her very essence and then he felt like a torrent of warmth had drowned him and washed him away when she said a single word. His name. Lucifer had thought he could withstand her and come out victorious. But this made him doubt that. It was said with such seductiveness that Lucifer noticeably loosened, his body quivering before melting like putty in her hands.
What stunned him was that she had continued on about his story over the girl. That wickedly delicious girl who had brought him into the world. And better yet, the girl was this mare's namesake. And at the end, she said a sentence that suggested he belonged to her followed by yet another mention of his name. That word rendering him into a puddle of swirling emotions and intense sexual heat.
Then she finally released her name. Lucifer had known it was coming. He had known her name after all the hints. But the way her silky voice uttered it finalized one fact. He had to have her. The mare confirmed her willingness to face penance for opening that damn box. That simply saying was enough. Lucifer's fur stood on end as he pressed closer to her body, his body sliding along hers as he made his way to her rump. The smell intensified and Lucifer's instincts went made. A crazed look entered his eye, one that was driven by the lust induced stupor this mare had put upon him. In the end his stallion instincts overpowered his desire to win their game.
She had won. She had him. But Lucifer would make sure it was final. "Screaming it later? That's far too long my sinful darling. I think now would be good. Face one of your crimes. The fallen angel who dared to crawl out of the box when you freed him. Face him and know now that you have him shackled." Lucifer raised a leg, his limb grazing her rump as he prepared to mount. "You are mine. But my soul is yours. I will submit in return for the use of your body. Our shares are equal." When he finally went through with his actions there was only one word that left his mouth his entire time. "Pandora." [ mwahaha, time skip i suppose? ]

[ stallion ] . [ nine ] . [ lone stallion ] . [ a hopeless lover ]
--- Death looked to Nami to see her shouting after Raid, obviously infuriated. He wanted to go forward and comfort but for the moment he let Honey go forward and help her for a moment. One his lover stepped away he took a step forward. Death's head lowered and went under Nami's neck, offering her something to lean on. Death said nothing, her sorrow was almost deafening anyway. After several minutes Nami stepped away and he knew she was giving him time to be with Honey.
The moment he saw her eyes he knew that whatever had happened while he was away had been painful. And Death wanted to hurt himself for it. How could he ever let misfortune fall upon Honey. She was angel, pure and did not deserve any sort of pain. As she motioned to her stomach, Death swallowed loudly and gave a slow nod, his expression pained.
The mention of Macabre made his ears prick. She had been a very cunning mare, and awfully beautiful. Death had rather liked her but he had known she had never gotten along with the other two. And it appeared her true colours had shown when he had left. He knew Honey wasn't lying, she would never lie. Then his brother's name came up. That made Death's ears naturally flatten and he disdainfully remembered his brother's undoubtedly good looking body. Fiasco had always been better than him.
His anger diminished the moment she mentioned their child. Death's head cocked with interest and then he saw the tears. That was it was Death. As she continued he scooched closed and did the same that he had with Nami. He offered her somewhere to rest her head which held far too many haunting memories. As she described their child, Shinigami, Death felt his own eyes begin to weep. He cried for Honey, for the loss of their daughter. Death was not a prideful male and had no shame in showing his weakness. He couldn't bare to hear these words of agony and he almost asked her to stop. But he needed to know.
When she admitted that the foal was indeed Fiasco's, Death just stood there. His body was rigid, his face wrenched into an expression of extreme sorrow, fury, guilty, hatred and remembrance. Dancer. She had birthed his child too. Was she okay? Was the foal okay? And Shinigami. Death's whole body suddenly gave up. He managed to fold his legs under him at the last moment and just lay there under Honey's neck like a helpless foal. His daughter. Dead. He had never even met her. And Honey. It was all his fault. I did that to her. How could I have done that to her?
He tried to recover but in the end Death gave out an anguished moan, his cries muffled by his overgrown mane as it covered his face. I'm so weak. I couldn't protect her. And now I can't even stand. Perhaps my nephew, Raid, is better than me. He kept her safe and he isn't pathetic like me. Even Honey had managed to restrain her emotions but Death couldn't. He just felt so broken and he shut his eyes, no longer wanting anyone near him. His whole posture screamed at them to go away. But they wouldn't. Death knew they both loved him as much as he loved them. So he just waited a long while, the minutes ticking by as he fought to recover.
After at least twenty minutes he could only get out two sentences. "He violated you and murdered her. I'll kill him, I'll destroy him." With a shake, Death's muscles writhed as he stood. He kept his face hidden by his hair, not wanting to let those he loved see him so shattered. "We gotta go. Somewhere close by but more sheltered so Honey has plenty of choice for birthing grounds." Death tried to distract himself by thinking about the present. I have children. Somewhere out there. But I've never seen them not been present when they were born....OMG THERE IS SMALL HORSE COMING AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO.
Death's more childish personality slowly leaked back into him. "Nami, I want to stay close to my nephew in case he wants to make peace with you. Considering how often we run together I assume you know some place safe and close by?" He knew Honey was the oldest so she should lead but he wanted her to rest. Death also decided that one day he wanted a daughter called Shinigami.

--- Nati suddenly became very worried. This was her herd, she was supposed to be there to help lead them when danger came. But now that it was here both Anloric and Dante asked that she leave with Nati. Her eyes were drowning with concern. There were so many coyotes, she could see their pelts streaking towards them. Panic seized her and Nati began nudging Halo who let out a frightened whinny and was already tripping from her fear and exhaustion. Nati was not an experienced mother and her own fear was making it worse.
"Come on baby. Please, get up, we must move." Her voice urged and Halo managed to get to her hooves. At that moment and coyote lunged towards them. Nati lashed out blindly and managed to clip one of it's legs. It yelped and leaped away but two more took it's spoke. With another whinny of urgency the pair were soon running. They followed Anloric's orders and moved as swift as possible but Nati was getting more fidgety by the second and Halo was stumbling a lot. Four canines jumped them. Halo's scream pierced the air and made Nati's blood run cold. She threw one with her teeth and hit another two.
"Halo?! Halo!" She called desperately, looking around wildly. There! Halo was being dragged by two dogs. Her leg was bloodied and the foal was petrified. "Momma!" Illuminati's heart almost thudded right out of her chest. Her child was calling to her but she was cut off by so many coyotes. "Move!" She half pleaded, half cried. They did not listen and savagely shredded her legs. Halo was screaming and shrieking and Nati was so panicked and flustered that she allowed one canine to latch onto her throat. it's weight yanked her onto her knees and Nati suddenly felt them swarm.
In her last request she looked wildly around for her lover Anloric or her best friend Dante. "Save my daughter, please! I love you all so much, thank you for -" Nati was cut off as a coyote placed the final blow and ended her life.
Halo couldn't see her mother. She couldn't hear her. All she felt was pain. And it tore at her. The filly was one of few words and right now she was using her whole vocabulary. "Mommy, daddy!" Her voice screamed and a canine tried to grab her face but she flailed and managed to kick it's head which made it back off. The filly didn't want to die but her body was being dragged by wild dogs as they tried to take her away from the older horses to kill her.

--- Noticing that Tango didn't exactly like contact her gave a casual shrug and just continued walking by her side. She was only slightly older than him but it appeared she was rather dominant so Raid settled with playing cool until they were close enough that he could try and have a decent conversation with her.
She was quick to calm and Raid flicked an ear back to keep track of her body movements just in case she decided to flip on him and cause some damage. Death's wounds were all shallow but their numbers would countless. It was the small wounds that hurt the most and he winced as a numb pain covered his body. Then Tango spoke and he gave a chuckle, "My past is something I'm happy to forget, trust me."
Tango soon apologized and he gave her a kind smile. "It's okay. I'm sorry for the interruption, it appeared that mare Honey was of some obvious value to that black male. And just so you're clear, that black stallion is called Death and he just happens to be my uncle." Raid gave an awkward laugh at telling her he was related to the very stallion who had attacked him.
When she took leadership and tried to move Raid he was hesitant at first but obeyed and moved forward. "Well, he hasn't stolen from me other than this. But he has a sibling who is pretty violent and attacked me once or twice. He's also my uncle but luckily I haven't see him around here so hopefully he got hit by a rock or something."
After that they walked in silence for some time and Raid stuck close to Tango, letting her do the leading. As they approached a river he pricked his ears at the sound of gushing water. He watched as the beautiful mare waded in. Raid's ears perked and he slowly followed her in, gulping at the water. When his muzzle was covered he suddenly splashed Tango, a playful smile appearing on his face.

--- Cerberus had been trotting daintily along a rather rocky ledge for quite some time now. Her boredom had driven her to try dangerous things such as running along an edge that could break and sending her falling to her death. "Oh how Pride and Gold would scold me." Cerberus had grown numb to her loss of friends but now she just felt so frustrated that she had no one to chat with. And even more frustrating, when had she become so dependant on others. "I don't need other horses!" She cried indignantly.
That was when the ledge finally cracked and Cerberus fell. Her whole body felt like it was going down a water slide pull of pebbles. Cerberus let out a squeal and tried to stop or do something. She knew she would have a few scratched on her back but for some reason cerberus felt oddly calm. She was just about to admit that she was enjoying this when she saw a drop. Oh no. Cerberus shrieked as she fell. When the mare finally landed, one of her legs hurt and she had some scratches but some miracle had happened and she was alive.
Lying on her back, Cerberus just fell back and laughed her head off. "Take that Pride you bloody moral smarty pants! And Gold who always thought risks were stupid!" The spotted mare finally relaxed and just looked at the sky. Only then did she notice more voices. "Oh no." Slowly, ever so slowly, Cerberus looked around her and her jaw almost dropped when she saw them. Two stallions and a mare. While she didn't know them, their names were Gator, Jokull and Nakia. Cerberus winced, Jokull and Nakia were quite a bit away but Gator was so close that he had probably seen her whole fall.
Scrambling to her feet, Cerberus just stood there, eyes wide. "Oh great. 'You shoulda listened to us you know that,' dammit Pride, why are you always right?!" Realizing she was talking to herself, Cerberus coughed and lifted her head, looking awkwardly at Gator and hoping he may have noticed her. There was very little chance of that though.
