Abi smiled when Sandra agreed. Good, she thought. Even though we probably won't leave her alone, at least she could protect Angel a bit. Abi slowly and quietly walked behind Sandra. After a moment, she barked. She sat down and smiled, waiting to see if Sandra could find the direction in this simple test.

Sandra didn't care to listen to Abi's bark once she heard what Angel had said. She turned to the pup. She opened her mouth to speak but no words came out. No, Angel. You're a wonderful pup who is helping us more then anyone. Helping us by putting smiles on our faces. Sandra wished somehow she could turn her thoughts into words without them being misinterpreted but didn't care to try. She just gazed sympathetically at Angel, feeling bad for the poor pup.

[Mario]

Angel snorted suddenly and barked, "I'm sorry, Mommy! But I'm nothing but trouble to you now." She sped down the shoreline, determined to try to take care of herself, or die trying. She wasn't getting off of this island anyway. What was the point of it all? So she could just helplessly stand by and watch her friends getting hurt? No. She would rather die than to do that.

Sandra began racing towards where she heard the noise. "Angel, I promise you, you aren't trouble. You aren't useless. Please, don't think you did anything wrong. It was my fault for not noticing the ocelot soon enough, you never did anything wrong." she said, her voice smooth and motherly as always when she spoke to her adopted pup. "Please, I love you." Sandra couldn't tell if it was tears or blood dripping down her cheek, or maybe both as she stood there.

[Mario]

Angel felt tears stream down her face but she didn't look back. After minutes of running, she dove into a cave.

"Angel!" Sandra called. "Angel!" she didn't know where the pup was, being blind majorly affected her idea of what was going on. Now she just ran forward, shouting the pup's name.

Angel heard and whined softly but didn't respond. (GTG)
