Amethyst sees a mare charging towards them, and tenses up entirely. Her ears fall back, and she flinched as the mare comes to a halt. She let out an irritated huff, "Way to make a nice first impression!" She said sarcastically. "And you don't have to worry about me taking over as lead mare. I have no interest in getting my coat dirty from such a senseless fight." She said, ears swiveling as she relaxed. "My name is Amethyst. And who might you be?"
Winter nodded, taking in Mariah's suggestion. "Then yes, we will leave now." She threw a cautious glance towards the direction that Akuma moved in to fight the stallion, before gazing in the opposite direction. "We should go that way." She pointed with her muzzle, before dipping her head to Mariah. She liked the lead mare, and knew that she would miss her, but Winter had to continue on with her life. She knew it was best to leave. She gently nudged the older mare's chest with her nose, letting out a soft snort. "If this is it then... Goodbye Mariah! I wish you could have accompanied us, but that is your decision, not mine. I hope everything goes well for you and your future foal." She stated, bumping her head against Riku, as a signal that thy should get going soon.
Good thing Pyro had backed away after dismounting Echo, because just as he moved away, she lashed out her hind legs, missing him however. The mare glanced over at Infinity, who had watched Pyro court Echo from the beginning. She gave the yearling a little nip, nudging her away a little, as to not constantly watch the older horses. She would eventually learn what was going on, and would go through it herself, but Echo wasn't prepared for her to catch on so soon. She then focused her attention on Pyro, a little excited though it was her second foal. However, her mind couldn't stop thinking about Infinity. The filly never had a foal to play with in the herd she had been in. Pyro never bothered getting more mares for some strange reason, and winter would be arriving soon. Hopefully, Infinity would grow up fine, but Echo still worried a little. Perhaps when the foal came, both the newborn and Infinity would have eachother to play with, and maybe by that time Pyro would have a new mare and possibly foal. Echo shrugged at her thoughts and turned herself towards Pyro, giving her stallion an affectionate, yet serious nip.
Cleopatra smiled at his behavior. "Don't be silly, you are my king. The king doesn't bow to the queen." She said, briefly rubbing her nose against the top of his neck. She swatted her tail, and studied Nightmare's behavior, perking her ears slightly. She leaned towards him, an gently whispered into his ear. "My dear king, how about a prince, or a princess?" She asked alluringly, hinting for a foal, as she lifted her tail to spread what was left if her heat scent.
Ash bent her head down to graze, seeing Domino snap into attention after scenting another mare in heat. She flicked her own scented tail, still being in heat despite it being autumn. However, she was on her last few stages, and would not be in heat at all soon. Ash swiveled her ears at a single fly, a little relieved that the warm weather was ending. Despite the nice temperature and abundance of foliage, Ash didn't really like all of the craziness about it. Stallions went running around chasing mares, there were fights, and even droughts occurred. In the winter however, everything calmed down, and stallions usually stayed with their herds, and never usually provoked fights over mares.
Ninja smiled down at the foal, enjoying the happy behavior. He was enjoying himself and relaxing for once. He reached forward and lipped at her side gently, before slowly prancing a few steps away. "My name is Silent Ninja, little one. Your mother is my mare. What has she named you?" He inquired.
Samurai grinned at the mare's spunk. "What's so great about a foal hmm..?" He said, staying at her side, but taking his muzzle away from her coat. "Well, a straight up obvious answer is pretty clear I'd say. We must reproduce and keep our species flourishing. If we didn't have foals, then horses would cease to exist. What if your own mother didn't want a foal, and there wasn't any stallion nearby? Well then dear, you would not have been born of you think about it. But personally why do I look foals? It spreads my strong genes, and I get to have more of my bloodline reaching across the land. On the other hand, foals kinda give you away to have a little fun. They are rarely ever serious, and it gives mares a responsibility I guess. It helps you supposedly mature. So what my mother had told me." He shrugged. "I'm sure you will enjoy your foal when it comes."
