Shady felt her heart pounding in her chest. She hoped it wasn't as loud as she thought it was so they could be safe from the wolves...time seemed to pass so slowly waiting in anxious fear.

Dahlia looked at Cavalia and shook her head, her mane resting on the other side of her neck.

Cavalia paced restlessly. Eli had flew out to see if the coast was clear yet. He had been gone for about an hour before returning. He cried softly meaning it was safe to head back down. Cavalia nudged Dahlia and Shady gently.

Shady silently exited the caves with Dahlia and Cavalia, "Thank you," she said, "I'm sorry to have put you in so much danger trying to save me, but I am most gracious for it."

"It was no problem at all. Would you like to join my herd? I'm Cavalia and this is my lead mare Dahlia."

Dahlia felt Cavalia nudge her in a certain direction and started to canter. She swatted her tail against her hindquarters as she sped up into a trot. She looked at Shady. "And what might your name be?" she asked

Cavalia led them to the watering hole. He stopped and looked at them. "Do you two need a drink?"

"Thank you for your generous offer. My name is Deadly Nightshade, or Shady for short. After such excitement, a drink would be lovely." Shady responded.

Cavalia nodded. "A pleasure to meet you." Cavaliah stood guard so that two of them could drink. Eli flew over to a nearby rock and landed on it softly. He looked at Shady then nodded his approval.

Dahlia followed the stallion to the water hole and began to drink without another word.
