Laika wimpered,when the girl asked the worker if she could see her.She tried to get away from the worker,but the worker gently grabbed Laika's collar,and brought her outside the cage.The girl,kneeled down beside Laika,and stroked her fur.Laika looked back at Reb."Help me"she mouthed the words to him.

Kidd slowly crept over to the fence watching the girl petting a big dogs fur. He barked gently to the big dog, then to the girl. What was happening? Were they hurting her?! He pawed the fence trying to go help the dog but the fence obviously stayed still. He jumped up on it his front paws resting high on the fence and his his head tilted curiously.

Laika looked at Kidd."She's not hurting me" she said,as she probally knew what was going on in the pup's mind."I just don't want to go anywhere without Reb" she admitted to Kidd.

Alfie ran out after Kidd "Get Back here!"He saw the human and froze...human!

Kidd tilted his head the other way "Who is she?" he asked softly, his tail wagging slowly. "Who's Reb?" he asked again his mind, being a puppy, having no idea that he needed to wait for the answer. "Where's she taking you?". As Sawyer called to him he looked back "don't worry big dog, I'm talking to my new friend!" he exclaimed wagging his tail.

"Hopefully,she's taking me no-where" she replied.She turned to face the girl,and she bared her teeth,thinking that would make her let go of Laika's collar."Reb,is that Brute over there" she pointed with her nose,over to the brown Pittbull laying down.

Kidd wagged his tail faster "Ok! Is she nice?" he asked through the fence. "Does she have food? What's a brute? Is it like a puppy? Why can't she let go of you?" he questioned a never ending string of words.

"Enough" she barked,and snarled at the girl.She pulled away,and backed up along the edge of the cage."Kidd,get all of the other's to start barking.We're all getting out of here today" she ordered the pup.She had a plan,and she would need the pup's help for this one.
