Mildly surprised when Snowy leaned up across his back, Thordane held very still as she tugged at something along his neck. He winced slightly at a particularly sharp pull, definitely lost a bit of fur there, but felt immediate relief right after. She must have noticed a tangle in his fur, his neck ruff was particularly thick and he had trouble reaching back there himself. "It's no problem, thank you." He chuckled, the deep motion rumbling through his chest.
She was moving away from him now, his fur hadn't been cold before she leaned on him but now that she was gone he felt the loss of her touch. Without thinking much of it, Thordane rolled over onto his side, pressing his back up against Snowy's fur in the same way they'd lay next to each other as youngsters back in Bear Claw.
"Oh, you know, the usual." He hummed lightly in response to her questions, either oblivious to the awkwardness or politely pretending to be. "I ought to check in with Razzberry, or at least one of the healers, to see how she's doing. I intended to see Liannah before the storm hits but she must have left for a hunt before I got back from my morning patrol. I need to speak with Kendell at some point, I'll wait for her to return from her walk though." He craned his neck to look over her shoulder at Snowy's cream fur. "What of you? We haven't had much of a chance to catch up really, everything has been so busy since we split from Bear Claw. How are you holding up?" Snowy had always had anxious tendencies, even before Krux started causing problems, so Thordane could guess she was struggling even more so now.

"Oh, I'm sure we'll have no trouble finding some volunteers." Flicker assured her, a warm smile reaching his eyes. "When I leave I'll have a word with either Thordane or Amarok, and we'll find someone to come stay by your den tonight." His tail wagged happily with his suggestion being taken well. He was glad to help in any way he could. "Is there anyone in particular you'd like me to ask?" He added as an afterthought. It didn't seem like Razzberry had anyone special in mind, but if there was anyone who she'd feel safest with he would make sure to put a word in for them.

"Great!" Renn smiled at Rex, tail wagging happily. "I've got a spot in mind already, I figured we can do some partner hunting. Tala went out by herself earlier I believe." She added in answer to his question. "I think we're good just the two of us, Blast, if you want to go with Tasha feel free." Renn liked Blast, and an extra set of paws was tempting, but rabbits could be finicky and she wasn't sure if Blast was versed enough in terms of hunting not to spook them. She'd feel bad ditching him by himself to wait while they caught the prey.

She looked to the delta. "Honestly? I know its in my blood, but unlike every alpha I wasn't trained to the position. Thordane has helped as my beta but hopefully when I take a mate the pack will accept them and they will be able to take a step into that position. And as I'm technically the sole alpha everyone has been extremely helpful and willing,"she said before standing. "I know thorn has been patrolling so as a group we should know the verdict. Anyway I want this to be a safe spot for all. Just as I've offered it to all of you." She thought of akela and Karper, the two were always friendly to her and their packmates.

indentStorm Runner waited patiently for Raunaum to come over, he kept himself still even when she bumped noses with him. "Oh, it's nothing to worry about." Despite knowing that she couldn't see his expression, Storm smiled regardless, making sure to add the warmth into his voice as well so she could hear it even if she couldn't see it. 'Here, follow me, I'll take you in the den. Watch your step, there's a bit of a dip at the entrance." Hm, maybe he could get Flicker to help him pack in some dirt later and smooth it out. The last rainstorm had washed out the soft dirt on the top, pooling in the entryway. It was inconvenient but until now Storm hadn't thought to fix it.
indentThe healer ducked into the den, laying the tip of his tail against Raunaum's shoulder so she could feel when he took the step down at the entrance. Waiting for her to get settled, he pulled out the herbs he'd bundled earlier, placing them down by her. "I'm going to examine the cut, you'll feel me poking around. Let me know if anything I do hurts." He made sure to let her know when he began.
indentNosing along the blood scent, Storm quickly realized that this was an older wound that had been reopened. He wondered if it had anything to do with what Raunaum had been carrying out of camp before. Thankfully it seemed clean enough, he gave it a few good licks just to be sure there was no dirt in there. "This doesn't look too bad, I'm going to wrap it for you to help with the bleeding. How did it happen?" He asked as he turned back to his supplies, searching out the cobweb.

indentSurprised, but pleasantly so, at Thordane returning the familiar gesture, Snowy relaxed as the larger wolf leaned into her side. "Oh, you know. I'm holding up." She chuckled but it was a little off, betraying her unease. "I don't know, it feels so strange to be here with Kendall instead of back there with Krux. Not that I regret coming." She added in a rush. "Don't get me wrong, I feel so much more calm here away from his gaze. I guess.. I guess I just miss all my friends who stayed. It feels so strange not being in one big pack anymore. I keep expecting Krux to show up at the camp entrance demanding we return." She shook her head. "I feel like he let us go too easy. I'm waiting for the other paw to drop I guess." She frowned, poking at Thor with one paw. "What of you? You were sort of close with Krux if I remember right."

indentThistle shook out her fur, as if the motion would help scatter the gloomy thoughts as well. "Sorry, I don't mean to dwell on that. Cerberus will probably be back soon, do you need to take care of anything before we head out?" She returned to the topic of the patrol. Glancing over at Baron, resting across camp, she tipped her head to the side. "Should we see if he wants to join us? A third set of paws might not be a bad idea." She suggested.

He laid there for a second, letting her recover from the leap and take off again herself before he leaped up to follow her once more. Soulfire gained some ground and Misty was following her more based on sound than sight at this point. They were coming up around the river and Misty caught a motion from the corner of his eye. "Aha! Got you!" He lined himself up and lunged -
indent- only to quickly abort the motion halfway through and fall to the ground, skidding to a halt in a tumble as he narrowly avoided pouncing on someone who was most definitely not Soulfire.

Seeing a squirrel not far from her she sinks down and stalks towards it carefully. Being weak she can't chase it so she needs to use the element of surprise. Once she was a pounce away she lunges and kills it devouring it and sitting to lick her injured paw.

indentation Humming softly as he padded along, pausing as a howl made its way into his ears. That howl sounds... young. He grimaced, and let out a sigh. Well, can't let the thought of easy prey get the coyotes circling. Might as well go find the little lass or lad. Amarok mused as he started in the direction of the howl. Starting at a slow and relaxed pace the male found himself speeding up slightly into a slow trot as anxiety set in. Rok was many things, not all good, not all bad, but not even on the worst day in his worst mood would he allow a pup to get hurt. He snorted to himself, as his mind wandered, wondering what kind of condition would he find the pup in. If the pup was alone, and if they weren't why was the pup crying out. Honestly, Amarok didn't like any of the answers that his mind supplied him with.

It's unfortunate that while the scar tissue is thick, it's rather easy to break. I disposed of the bloodied rock in the river. No need to burrow trouble so close to Razzberries whelping." He'd never really interacted with the male all that much, and if he was being honest, Baron had a feeling that they'd get along as Kendall and Krux did. Do.
