Maverick pawed at the choke chain around his neck. He couldn't remember the last time he took it off, and it was staying like that. It was a reminder of his past and where he came from, the memories that were nice, before they were drowned out by bad ones. He shook his head and let out a low growl. He hated when he thought about that stuff. He stood up and walked slowly over to Hydie, the bands' second in command. "I'm going to go on a walk.. Do you want to come?" Normally he wasn't a big fan of company, but it was good to have another dog to help keep an eye out for the dog snatchers with you. Plus she didn't bug him that much. He kicked his back legs out to stretch them. Most of the other dogs were still asleep, except for the few who went out to scavenge for food.

The second in command had laid down for a bit, thinking over her day and what she needed to do for the band. She had been unsure how to feel about a commitment to another group of strays, but she was quite glad this experience was different. She knew not to think about her past experiences or anything that would distract her from her ultimate goal. She knew this would mean to avoid pups and finding love in general. Her general unpopularity would help, but she hoped that was enough for now. She noticed another dog approach her and ask if she wanted to go on a walk. She shrugged a bit knowing this dog was okay for a fellow band member and she might as well see what was around.
"Alright, I will come with you," she said in her deep and almost emotionless voice.

The wolfdog decided that he wanted to walk through town past the dog park so he could try and snatch a hotdog from the cart that is usually there. He told this to the female who accompanied him. "You okay with that?" He asked. He was determined for food. His heart was set on it and his mouth began to water.

She gave him a slightly confused look as she wasn't exactly what he was talking about. She padded slowly as to keep her pace from being much quicker than his. She stared directly into his eyes almost as to search for answers as she asked, "What do you mean? I am not quite sure what you are talking about?"

He tilted his head, unsure of her confusion. "I want to walk through town and past the dog park because there is a hotdog stand there that I want to get food from.." He explained. Maybe he had blanked out and thought he told her his plan when in reality he didn't. He shrugged and continued walking.

"Ah, I see now," Hydie replied in a calmer tone. "Very well, resolve your hunger however you want and we may patrol the park as well. I prefer having my food hunted down and not made by humans, but we are all different in one way or another. I may be a forest stray, but I can respect your needs."

Darkfall continues to stand guard as she watches the snow pile up steadily and she shakes another thin blanket of snow off herself. She quietly mutters to herself as she sighs, clearly bored of just sitting in one place for so long.

He laughed, mostly forced. "You can't beat it for a quick meal, I'll get you some if you want," he offered. He started to trot very slowly towards the cart, waiting for her answer so he could move at a quicker pace.

"You just get what you need, you are the one who wants to eat," she said calmly, "And I'll be fine, I have other things to worry about."
She scanned the area several times making sure no one was there as she crept on after him.

Maverick nodded and continue on. The smell of hotdogs filled the air and his stomach growled. He crawled under a bench right behind the cart and waited until the owner walked away before he pounced. He snatched two hot dogs. He ate one there and ran into the dog park with the other. He hated being around all the pampered dogs, he growled in disgust. His tail lashed but he had to stay in there until the coast was clear.
