Cain's Rumored Fable
Age: 4 years
Status: Bachelor
Approaching a herd
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Cain carefully watched the mare, and her stallions beyond, knowing that this could go very bad very quickly. He didn't get a response from her but judging from her ears and her heat scent, she should be fine with him coming and saying hello. Next he had to quickly consider what would be more noticeable, an extra horse or a missing mare? She was already on the fringes of the band so that was helpful. Choosing the 'extra horse' idea, the young stallion began to creep closer to her, walking calmly with his head held even with his withers. Finally he pulled up next to her, checking to see if the band stallions were still preoccupied with the other mares they had approached. Cain was beside the mare now, so it was time to quit worrying about the band stallions. They might spot him and come for his head, or they might not. What was more important to him was how this mare was going to react to him.
The paint stallion sniffed along her belly and flank, holding in his excitement as he breathed in her scent. He cut to the chase, his short tenure as a domestic stallion making him one for less affection. He nibbled at the dock of her tail briefly then nudged her rump, asking Essence if he could cover her.

Safara
Age: 3 years
Status: In heat(2)
Band mare
Squaring off for lead
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Sara kept her ears pinned and leaned away from the stallion as he moved beside her. She snorted in response to his introductions, eyes flickering over to the other stallion for a moment. Were they going to share their mares? That was kinda weird. Her attention was brought back around as Ninja nudged her towards the other mare. And that would've been fine but the other mare had thrown her some ears and a glare. The other mare did seem older, but she wasn't just going to shove Safara around that easily.
The brindle re-pinned her ears and tossed her head slightly, though after she did that she lowered her head, ears unpinning slightly as she took a couple steps forward. Age was what really determined who got lead mare most of the time, so Sara didn't expect to get the position. But stallions already pushed her around enough, she didn't want to be harassed by a mare as well. She was basically just testing Nala, seeing what type of mare she was and Sara was showing her that she would let Nala know when she didn't like something.
