Cikala padded into camp and dropped the hare into the snow where the fresh-kill pile was supposed to be. Her mouth watered and her tongue started to hang out as she stared at it for a moment. Hunger churned her stomach, but she shook her head and stepped back, forcing herself to walk away from the juicy-looking hare.

Jaykob widened his eyes and smiled brightly. "Awesome! Wait. What does coltsfoot do?" he asked, tilting his head with wide, curious eyes. He felt embarrassed for acting like a pup, but he just wanted to know.

Kat smiled as she nodded. "I guess I better go see whats up.." she sighed. "Should I stay here..?" Cody asked, flicking his tail. "I think so." Kat suggested. She walked off into the direction Renn went and followed his scent.

I smiled. "Dont worry......I don like seeing wolves being treated like dirt."

Renn's ears flicked when he heard Ka coming up behind him and he growled a warning "not the best time for a chat after that little fiasco wouldn't you think?" he snapped not even glancing back at her.

I blinked. "Oh..well to be honest I'd rather be a loner than in pack where wolves are treated like that and when there are jerks who think they are all that."

"I'm sorry.." Kat apologized as she twitched her nose. "But are you okay?" she asked, a small tone of worry in her voice.

"Coltsfoot is used to treat coughs during the summer when it;s rainy or during the winter when the air is dry," she explained, sensing his insecurity about not knowing what it did. "Don't worry. Most wolves don't understand the field of healing and medicine since they have chosen a different path to take. One that leads to hunting or protecting the pack. We need both though. To protect, to heal, and to hunt are the most important to us, yet most young wolves dream of protecting us, and not of healing. Soon, one day, there may never be anymore healers and an abundant supply of warriors, hunters, and guards. Our knowledge forgotten," she told him, a far away look in her eyes. It was a bit too much, but it was all true.

After Moon spoke of how the pack's ways might be forgotten, gave him both relief and fright. No choosings? Great! Everyone being forgotten. Not so great. Jaykob remembered how his mom told him about the lost pack. The pack had fallen due to many reasons, and it made Jaykob shudder at the thought of it all. It was a spooky story that brought wise teachings with it. He shook out his fur and sensed the uncomfortableness coming from Moon and scuffed the snow, unsure about what to do.

Cikala was so focused on food, she ran into a frazzled birch tree and stepped back before falling over. "Agh!" she exclaimed with a frown as she stood again. "Clumsy me." She rolled her eyes at herself and walked away.
