J ᴏ s ɪ ᴀ ʜJosiah acknowledged Stormurinn as well when he heard that he helped, "Good catch, both of you." He told them and nodded to Edmee gratefully and stepped aside to let her through. Then his head turned sharply to Stormurinn, anger glinting in his grey eyes. "No. The pack eats first, besides you're eating with them anyway." He closed his jaws around the elk's neck so he could drag it out into the clearing for the pack to get easy access to the food. After setting the elk down, he padded back into the shadow of a tree and waited for Edmee to make the announcement, sitting down so he could get his food later, after the pack has eaten. While waiting he twitched his ears, alert for any intruders or signs of the rest of his pack returning.

Apocalypse looked at Isinn. "We'd better get back to camp," he said and jumped off. He landed on light paws, agile and secure. He waited for Isinn to follow him, and crunched through the snow, savoring the great feeling of the snow slushing through his legs. He loved winter so much, but hated the fact it was so harsh on his hunger. Apocalypse slushed to camp, and sighed, fog floating from his jaws.

Ísinn simply nodded. She stood and leapt nimbly over the thorns, but in landing on her toes, ripped out a claw. She winced in pain, limping slightly as more blood poured from her battered paws. Today just wasn't her day. Most days weren't, come to think of it. She sighed lightly, breathing in the crisp, cold air.
▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃ Stormurinn rolled his eyes, letting out an annoyed huff of air. "Fine," he grumbled. Because he was all for rules. That reminded him... "So you're coming with?" he asked Edmee, careful to be a bit more quiet this time. "Who knows," he teased playfully. "Maybe we'll even see a snow leopard, or a saber tooth tiger, or a big scary housecat." He grinned teasingly. "I hope you're not afraid of kitties, Edmee." Then he stood and stretched briefly, padding towards the clearing. "I'll save you a leg if you'd like," he called over his shoulder. "Your catch, your pick."

Edmee grumbled when Josiah could easily drag it into the center, but it took her and Totum almost an half an hour to get the darned thing here. She closed her mouth when she saw the angered glint in his eyes when he turned to Stormurinn. She looked over at Stormurinn and gave him a sheepish shrug. When he went up to her and asked if she was still coming she nodded with enthusiasm. She smirked and just chuckled at his tease before going over to the kill. She ignored the last thing he said before she raised her head into the air and opened her muzzle to let out a high howl. It was obviously a call letting all the wolves in the territory know that she had brought back the elk so they could eat. Her howl was cut off when she lowered her head and glanced around, expecting the alpha to arrive. “Gotta let the Alpha eat first.” she explained, but locked her jaws around its leg and pulled. It took a while but it ripped off. Just because she was acknowledging that the alpha always ate first, she still wanted a leg.

Apocalypse looked over his shoulder at Isinn and saw her slightly limping. Then he saw the red liquid at her paw and looked at her eyes. He didn't want to treat her like a pup; she was his leader. But Apocalypse didn't think she was that fine. "Are you okay?" he said quietly, lowering his voice so no one in the pack heard. He watched the liquid drip onto the snow, staining it. Apocalypse felt a pang of symphony, yet he wasn't that sorry. He suffered other injures from battle, but a torn claw really hurt.

"I'm fine, it's barely a scratch," she said, forcing herself to put weight on that paw to calm him down. She was wary of the impulsive brute, yes, but he was loyal. She could see them becoming closer someday... Maybe even becoming friends. Ísinn loped carefully into camp, favoring her bleeding, tattered front paws, especially the one that was now missing a claw. That'll make be a much better fighter, of course, the thought in annoyance. When she arrived, the smell of fresh meat make her mouth water. She shook her head slightly, as if to remind herself to wait. Every bone in her body cried out to go dig into the fresh game, but she had to wait. "You all may eat," she said, dipping her head to Edmee in thanks. "If there's anything left over when you all are through with your meal, I'll take that." Suddenly exhausted, she lay down, gingerly resting her bloody paws in front of her so she could lick them without putting any extra weight on one. She closed her eyes once most of the blood was wiped away; her scratches weren't bleeding too badly anymore, just a bit of a trickle ran from them. It was her lost claw that screamed in pain. "When everybody's eaten, I want to have a meeting," she said.
▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃ Stormurinn flicked his tail in excitement, hungry and ready for the feast to begin and end so he and Edmee could head out. He was ready to see what was really so bad about the Tundra. I'm braver than the old wolves, he scoffed inwardly. They just started rumors to keep their pups in the territory when they were too weak to control them. I can handle it. The news of a meeting made his heart sink. If he didn't have time to go to the Tundra tonight, it'd be a wasted night.

"What? No!" Apocalypse exclaimed. Lowering his voice slightly, he said, "you're hurt, tired, and hungry. You will eat first. The pack knows that." He glared at her, silently trying to get her to eat her fill. "Plus, we have enough food for everyone. More than enough. You know that." Apocalypse sat in front of her, but his eyes wavered, trying to get the sight of his mate. He saw Pheacan in Erin's den, and relaxed.

J ᴏ s ɪ ᴀ ʜJosiah watched as the pack gathered around the elk that Edmee and Stormurinn had caught. He couldn't help but feel a warm joy bubble up in his chest at the sight of his pack, that joy evaporated when he saw how depressed the alpha looked. He didn't want to go up and comfort her, he had no idea what to say anyway, she was going to call a metting after they'd eaten so maybe she'd share her problem with them then. Plus, Apocalypse was with her, so she was probably fine. Josiah's mouth watered as he saw the elk's meat being stripped off its bones, but he wasn't hungry anyway so he just continued to half-heartedly guard the pack.

Edmee was surprised the Alpha told the pack to eat first. She sighed and picked up her elks leg. When she walked over to the alpha, she heard what the Beta said. She nodded in agreement and threw the leg beside her alpha. She didn't do much than that and turned around to go eat the elk. She would have to go and find some herbs later for the Alpha. Which reminds her of the herbs she left in the bushes. She would have to get them later as well. She was devastated that they had to have a meeting, but her and Stormurinn could go another time. She then lowered her head and took a large big out of the elk's stomach. She spit it out, since it was mostly fur and begun to dig into it with her claws. She was helping herself and others to an easier meal. After she had done that, she dropped her muzzle and began to eat.

Ísinn sighed, gazing at Apocalypse curiously. "When did you become so persistant? You aren't acting like the heartless warrior who joined my pack," she said gently, but regardless, she began eating her meal. "Thank you, Edmee. I'm afraid I had a rough introduction to you this morning. You'll be a great asset to the pack." I like her, she thought, giving her an appreciative smile. As the she-wolf walked away, Ísinn turned back to her meat. Not before hesitating for a second and giving the brute an appreciative lick on the cheek. She wasn't normally this expressive with her emotions. Exhaustion was driving her crazy. Which reminded her, she needed an alpha male desperately. But I don't want a mate. Not now, not ever. She sighed again, nibbling at her elk leg. She'd lost her appetite all of the sudden. She stripped off most of its meat and gnawed absently on a bone. She hadn't seen the pack's eyes so bright and hopeful in a while- it was nice to see. Then she impatiently waited for everybody to finish their meals.
▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃ Stormurinn tore into the elk, digging into the good meat under the tough skin. It'd been way too long since he'd had fresh elk- any herd animal, really. Those ancestors better have a good excuse as to why I'm not eating this every night, he thought, licking his lips before taking another bite, careful to save enough for everybody else. He wasn't skimping on his portions though, he was hungry and this was too good to pass up.
