Shadow jumped in surprise, "Desert , what are you doing here?" Her eyes flashed.

Desert spat out water, clearly surprised himself. Then he remembered he was running to burn of his anger. It had worked. All he felt now was hurt. He sat down, soaking, the strong brute hiding tears. "Nothing. It doesn't matter anymore." he said, looking over at Midnight."I'm too late." he said, standing slowly, forcing back a howl of anguish. Midnight got here first. It's too late.

"What doesn't matter any more, Desert?" Shadow tried to figure out what was in Desert's Brown eyes. She couldn't make it out, he was too confused.

Desert rubbed his eyes, then sighed. "The fact you don't know. I suppose it's my fault. I should have . . . " he couldn't force out any more. "She's gone. It's my fault. I really love this wolf. She's amazing. But I never got to know her. And now she loves another wolf. And it really hurts. It hurts more that she doesn't know." he spilled his feelings. Silently, his close friend Faith slipped from the shadows and comforted him. (Faith and Desert are besties, because Desert is so loud, he enjoys that faith listens, and faith coz she's so quiet, enjoys he notices her.)

Faith ran after Desert, and finally came to the stream. She saw him, Shadow and Midnight. Poor Desert. He's crying . . . oh poor thing. She gently sat beside him, not caring she got soaked, wrapped her tail around him and began to groom him dry.

Shadow smiled sympathetically at him, "Maybe this fae you like likes you back?" Shadow said, not realizing he was talking about her.

Desert flashed her a vicious glare. "Oh, she definitely likes me back. I'm crying because I'm over the moon!" his voice cracked at the last bit and collapsed into Faith's fur, who curled protectively around him.

Desert got up, pulled himself together, and left silently. He couldn't bare to be around Shadow, but when he got to camp he longed for his loyal friend Faith.

I don't know Desert that much, but Midnight he's just something Shadow glanced at Faith and then said, "I'm going away for a while, I need time to think." Shadow disappeared into the forest, needing time, urgently to think.
