Highstep ran away, as fast as he could, his multicolored tail streaming behind him. This is the life! He thought, and let out a happy whinny. Then suddenly, he picked up a scent, and backtracked to a nice patch of saltgrass. In a few seconds, it was gone. After he finished chewing. He picked up a scent of a lone mare. He started to follow it.

Can I meet a herd, or a mare? I'm kinda bored right now. ))

He followed the scent until he was a hundred yards or so away. Highstep scented for any threatening stallions. The spotted bay horse found none. His ears pricked as he heard a loud nicker. This is promising. He trotted up, and whinnied a friendly hello.

Rodeo flicked her tail and pinned her ears back at the stallion. She wasn't in deep heat. She was only at stage one. She snorted and shook her mane. The mare flat out refused his covering. If he asked again, she would probably give out a small kick.

Cobalt walked over to Dahlia, grooming her again. He kept an ear on Rose, bust this time he was careful with Dahlia. He didn't want to spook the mare like last time.

Cocoa snorted and trotted after the mare at a brisk pace. When she turned to face him, he trotted up to her left side and lipped at her flank, keeping her close to Royal. If she tried hard enough, the young stallion would for sure loose her.
