"What do you mean, what kind?" I replied barely audible.

"Well, i know your the lead mare, but i kind of told her i was second in command, and she seemed angry that she wasnt lead. She might try to take your spot eventually, and i know neither of us want a new mare to be lead." She murmured as she backed up to Lyr, her tail swishing away the flies from her soft blak flank as she stomped her hard hoof as she spoke.

"Of course. Anything for the lead mare, and my new friend." Moonlight nickered, a bitter note on the words lead mare. "I just hope Athena dosen't become Haandle's favorite." She whispered, stomping her hoof again. Then she stepped out into the sunlight, walking up to Haandle. "Haandle, i hope i'm not interupting, but shouldn't we move to grazing grounds with a larger water source?" She whinnied.

Silver nickers softly, "I like your name, Soltz." She swishes her tail and moves to her right a few steps to get out of the hot sun and into the slightly cooler shade of the trees.

"I will gladly accept." She dipped her head slowly, her gentle blue eyes glinting. As she raised her head, annoyance flooded over her as she watched Moonlight and Lyr clearly talk about her. "Im not deaf you know." She whispered under her breath.
