Mushroom and Toadstool walked through the rather high grass. Mushroom's head swiveled around as she searched for any threats, they may have been together but they weren't the strongest mares out there. It was an effect from being twins that effected them even then. Toadstool's head reahed over her sister's back as a stallion called out(Valtiel if that's alright). She impulsively whinnied back, a bit too eager as usual.

ROYALTY ~ Bay Varnish Roan, 6, Mare, Cocoa-Dream

Royal just grazed behind the colt, ignoring the both of them, but following when Cocoa moved.

ROSE GARDEN ~ Chestnut Manchado, 4, Mare, Cobalt

Rose snorted, not caring for now. She was only in stage one, but her heat scent was getting stronger. She would be in stage two by tomorrow.

DESTINY'S DESIRE ~ Dunalino, 3, Mare, Indian-Gypsy-Shadow

She ignored Indian, just being protective of the young filly. She kept her ears flattened and started grooming Gypsy. Her kind brown eyes were giving out a warning to Shadow.

VELVET SWEETHEART ~ Flaxen Liver Chestnut Splash, 6, Mare, Vegas

Velvet snorted and turned away. Stallions that showed off to mares weren't her idea of a stallion. She went back to grazing. Until he nosed her shoulder anyways. She took off at a trot, just a few yards away from the stallion then back to grazing.

BATTLE CRY ~ Bay Tobiano, 5, Mare, Alone

LIGHTNING BUG ~ Blue Roan, 7, Stallion, Snowflake-Satsuki

Firefly snorted and lipped both of his mares, one after the other. He was glad to have a growing herd. He returned the grooming from Satsuki, making his way towards her flank.

COWBOY HEART ~ Dun, 8, Stallion, Holly-Rodeo

Cowboy... ~fade~ He snorted and groomed her flank a bit before going up next to her. He nudged her, letting out a soft nicker.

Cobalt snorted and continued to graze, looking over at Dahlia.

Cocoa snorted and squealed lightly when Dream nipped him. He flicked his ears and perked them, listening to her nicker. He followed a few paces after her, entirely determined to get her. It could take him a bit, but the young stallion felt sure that he could get her.

Holly looked back at him and sniffed noses with him, nickering. She snorted and shook her mane, flicking her tail and kicking out a back hoof from flies. She looked up at him and snorted again. Letting her head drop down, she grazed at the grass contently.

Sweetheart kept grazing, tossing her head when he nipped her. She flatted her ears, not liking being treated like this. She calmed down after, just lowering her head and grazing, though she sidestepped away from the stallion whenever he came near, though onl one step.

Firefly nudged her flank, asking to cover. He easily supported the weight she put on him as she was leaning on him.

Cowboy walked over to Rodeo and nudged her.

vegas was nothing if not impatient and stubborn, but yet he still managed to control the irritation that arose with her not accepting him. the pinto stud reached out with his muzzle once more, nipping her very gently on the shoulder and nosing her side, though if she still continued to refuse his proposal of inviting her into his new herd, he would simply snake her. vegas had little patience in the best of times, though it was so early in the year, the prospect of rebuilding at least something comparable to what he had lost made him more forceful that usual- demanding. and vegas didn't know how to take no for an answer.

dark oval ears perked with interest as the call of a mare was heard nearby, accompanied by the unmistakable scent of other equines. the ebony stallion pawed at the earth almost excitedly, a soft nicker leaving his muzzle in response as sharp gray hooves carried him at an easy canter toward the source of the call, only to be met with the sight of a pair of mares; very similar in appearance and age. perhaps twins? it was a rare occurrence, but valtiel knew it was not impossible. the velvety stud eased forward, calling out softly once more, interest sparking in his eyes. he'd not had terrific experiences with herds before, but if presented with opportunity, he would always try.

four sharp pink hooves left gouges in the soft green earth as a cocky young stallion threw his long, elegant legs forward in a proud strut, cherry bay head held high and long, delicate oval ears full of interest as horses called out around him. a loud, confident nicker left his strong chest, slipping out from between soft rubbery lips as the colt searched for a new object to lay affection on. jack was not entirely looking to start a herd; he was still young, and full aware that having mares would draw the attention and therefore the wrath of older stallions to him, but this did not mean the young stud could not continue playing his little game, he just had to find a willing subject. early in spring, this was not the easiest task, but if he didn't try, he would grow terribly bored. better to keep himself entertained.

her bay head was held high, as was her scented tail as the mare cantered proudly forward, a soft nicker falling from her maw once more. perhaps it was the fact that she was trudging closer to the later stages of her heat cycle, or maybe it was this colts unrelenting persistence, but dream could help but be curious about the young appaloosa stallion. the semi-leopard appaloosa threw her scented tail down with a snort, stopping just as quickly as she had started moving and swinging her body around to face cocoa, brown eyes dark and unreadable, front hooves digging into the soft earth slightly as she simply waited to see what he would do.

suki let out a soft huff, gently grooming the stallions' side for a moment longer before nosing his hip lightly, lifting her black tail in response to his request- allowing the roan stallion to cover her. the gentle mare was always happy to entertain such a request- she'd had many foals in her lifetime, and it was one thing she was the most skilled at, she enjoyed having a foal at her side.

a very demanding, loud nicker was thrown from the stocky palomino mares' maw as her nostrils flared, taking in the unmistakable scent of stallions in the area, and she had gone far to long with out the attention of a handsome stud. her silky cream-tinted tail flicked violent against her velvety haunches, spreading the knowledge that she was in was in the later stages of her heat cycle to the world. two pale blue eyes scanned the bright, life-filled world that she had found herself in as of late, far from the land in which she had been born, and even farther from where she had been separated from her last stallion, the young stallion whom appreciated her as she expected to be appreciated from every equine she came across. jackson had been born and raised a spoiled princess, and expected to be treated as no less now.

thinking back, mary couldn't remember ever not being in a herd- once she left her fathers' she was in several different stallions' bands, but never had she been alone. it was always right from one to the next via getting snaked or her stallion losing a battle- this was a new feeling if freedom that she was not used to, and while she loved the ability to traveled where she wanted to instead of following the lead of a stallion and his lead mare, the quiet was getting tedious. perhaps another mare would offer company should she be able to stumble across one, or perhaps another stallion would find the young dun mare before that. not that she would really resist should the attention of a stallion be directed to her; though she had spent so many weeks now traveling by herself, not having obey the order of a lead, it was not entirely something she wanted to give up. a little huff of air escaped flared nostrils- a sigh, leaving her dark maw as young mary struggled with the choices laid before her.

roulette calmed as the younger of the stallions moved off with his herd, and her kind brown eyes found chaos as he moved back to her side. the young mare nosed at his chest lightly before starting to groom him back, resting one leg under her, all but relaxed, completely accepting of this new stallion. roulette enjoyed the company of stallions, and the feeling of safety that being with one brought. she was not a mare equipped to defend herself- and she was not a mare equipped for solitude. her cream tail swished calmly against her hind legs, idly chasing away bugs with a waterfall of fine hairs, spreading what light scent she had for the moment.

The flaxen mare tossed her head again. She hated being nipped, and she wasn't really rejecting, just protesting the nipping. Of course, some stallions never understood that.. She lowered her head and flattened her ears, but lifted them just as soon as she had flattened them.

Toadstool trotted around her sister, towards the stallion. Mushroom reluctantly followed, ears back and eyes bulging out. Toadstool reached him first, approaching without any hesitance. She sniffed at him, eyes curious and ears alert.
