"That doesn't sound particularly good," Snake observed. "You need water, but I don't think you should follow me around until we find it," he meowed. "You should stay here until I find some water," Snake pointed out, looking around.

Zoe almost rolled her eyes, but stopped herself. She hated feeling hopeless and having to depend on other cats, but then again, it was awfully nice of Snake to offer that she stayed while he should be the one to search. So she nodded, appreciation filling her glistening eyes.

Alex watched as the she-cat seemed to immediately find a piece of bedding, in this case, a soft blue towel. "Wow! That's a lucky find; it took me a lot longer to find anything soft worth keeping," he pointed out, sitting down onto his haunches.

She blinked her blue eyes softly a bit embarrassed now, "Would you like it instead? You know trade for something of yours? I owe you so much." she said shyly. Angel began to scuffle her tiny brown paws with a bit of unease.

Snake simply nodded in return, figuring that Zoe would be able to find some source of shade to rest under until he returned with a location that held water. With that, the tom turned tail and padded off into the forest, disappearing after a few strides. How long he was gone for, Snake did not know. All he was aware of was how important it was, for both of them, that he find a source of water. Finally after many, many pawsteps, and likely hours, of searching the seemingly small forest, Snake was startled to find a large pool of water. The pool of water was filled by a river that trickled over a pile of rocks, capturing Snake's attention for little more than a moment. He wandered up to the pool, lowering his maw to the surprisingly clear water and lapped at it. Once he'd had his fill, he lifted his neck and licked off the few remaining droplets of water that clung to his whiskers, surveying the environment around him. Making sure to memorize exactly how he'd gotten to the pool, Snake began to pad back to where Zoe was resting.

Alex had most definitely not meant to make Angel uncomfortable, and in order to repair that sense of awkwardness, Alex offered a polite smile and meowed, "no, it's totally alright; I have plenty. You're going to need that, especially when it gets cold at night." He looked back at the small shelter she'd managed to pull together and added after a moment of thinking, "ideally, you'd be able to find a few pieces of bedding. That'd insure that you'd be totally warm."
