FANG | Warrior/Sky-Dog | Starris | Tagging: Octavia, Acero | Location: Starris Meadow
Fang's heart ached when she marched off, head held high as if trying to keep herself composed, then shot words back without missing a beat, as if either trying to prove a point that could not be proven, or start another argument. He was not in the mood for that, and he couldn’t do it. Not with her. Not with any wolf. The last wolf to speak like that, the last wolf to challenge him indirectly when he was trying to be a support had been his own former mate, who had moved along in life so well she didn’t notice he never came to see her.
He composed himself, but the only signs his mind was elsewhere was how his yellowish-blue eyes shifted around the clearing, never staying in any one place too long until Octavia spoke again. Was it wise to accompany her, when they’d been fighting only moments before?
"I never said to swallow your anger. In fact, I do believe I said you have every right to it. What I said was that it’s not good when anger turns to hate, and I fear that may be the path this will turn to." Whether or not she liked it, Fang would never remain quiet on such things or keep fact hidden. Such was what turned into lies, and he’d never considered himself to be a liar of any sort.
COBALT | Former F-Pack Beta/Sky-Dog | Starris | Tagging: Octavia, Acero, Fang | Location: Starris Meadow
Having entered the meadow in time to catch the last few minutes of the argument, Cobalt approached. He flicked his tail dismissively, nodding in acknowledgement to all three wolves. He noticed Acero's stunned stare, then the Warrior had turned away quickly. Cobalt stopped, putting himself between Octavia and the other two Warriors, for fear of any further tension breaking loose. I was chosen as Beta once not only for being the son of our Alpha, but for my good judgement and reasoning. He remembered.
"With all due respect, Warriors Acero and Fang, I think some space would be required on all three sides, perhaps to come together again at mealtime," said the black furred wolf. Acero looked about to argue, and might’ve, had Cobalt not been at least a head taller and twice as muscular, with close dire wolf genes in his veins. The former Beta turned his dark blue eyes finally on Octavia, the grey she-wolf with stars sparkling in her pelt, fresh, not faded and settled into her fur like t(e wolves who’d been here a long time.
"Octavia, correct? One of the few female Warriors of the Fire Pack?" He asked. He wanted to make sure he got it right. There was an uncanny resemblance between her and her littermate, and he had not been alive in their time, but he was sure it had been the Warrior who had fallen, and not the Huntress. "I am Cobalt, brother of your former Alpha, Max, and son of the Alpha before him, Cinder. I’ve been here many long years. If you’d appreciate a guide or company, I could show you around, though the grounds are enormous, and I doubt could all be covered in the course of a single day."
