Vesper sighed as the cobwebs were wrapped around her paw. "Thank you so much," she said to Goldpaw, gratitude shining clear in her expression. She tenderly rested her paw on the ground. It didn't hurt quite as bad. Vesper then turned to watch as Cody ran off, wishing he wouldn't leave so soon. "Can I get up now, I have a crick in my neck."

Hailstorm felt himself getting annoyed by this she-wolf's demands. He stood up and raised his tail and his head, but remained friendly. It was only to show her who was boss. "If you want to be sentinel, prove your skills in a fight. Not many can match Meta, so be sure you really want to. Leave your whining and act like a sentinel, or there is no way."

Vesper sat up and rolled her shoulders. Several bones in her neck made quiet clicking noises as she felt her muscles loosening. It was a relief to be off the ground. She found herself doing nothing and, when she asked herself why, realized she was waiting for Cody. Why? He was a hunter, and he needed to be hunting. She was a delta. She needed to be following Rookie around. Standing, Vesper scanned the camp for the older black fae.
Hearing a familiar growl of challenge, Sauver turned. Emerald was facing Meta, and it was clear who had challenged who. He tried to act casual as he eyed them, but he really wanted to watch. He had never seen a fight for ranks before, young as he was and small as this pack had become. If Emerald does become a Sentinel, I bet it would be loads easier beating her than Meta, he thought. She's twice as old as I am, but I might actually have a chance against her. Meta'd rip me to shreds. He felt somewhat sorry for the fellow scout.

Rookie stretched and then walked over to Vesper. "I'm going to check the borders, care to come?" She asked the younger wolf, friendliness in her voice.
Meta snorted. "Let's just get this over with." He growled, flicking his tail in slight irritation at Emerald challenging him again. Meta bared his teeth at the challenge in her voice, and tensed up waiting for her to make the first move.
