(I was talking about wild horses.. They live shorter lives than domesticated horses because they don't get all the nutrition domestic horses get. I had a mini mare that should be 24 or 25 now and she still jumps and trots, but nope on cantering.. She likes kicking XD
We had to give her away sadly, and I hope I get to see her again!!)
(The name Rose is taken, along with Rosie!! Also, horses can't be 14.6.. The height goes by 4. Like 14.1 14.2 14.3 15.0 )

vegas nosed the paint mare beside him lightly, nipping at her mane before moving forward a few paces, towards the flaxen mare nearby. the stocky pinto stud reached out his muzzle curiously, drawing in her scent before throwing his head up, working his hooves against the earth and trotting in a half-circle around velvet, showing off to this new mare as he had done with spirit not long ago. a raspy nicker dripped from rubbery lips as the proud stallion huff, lowering his ears and stretching his neck forward to nose the mares' shoulder lightly, wondering if she was going to run from him or not.

the world around him was quiet, calm, ever peaceful as the lead ebony stud stretched his neck to the ground, rubbery lips plucking lazily at the stalks of green grass that had reclaimed the world come spring. two long oval ears twitched atop valtiels' head as the world came to life around him- the sound of birds singing in the trees dotted around, the raspy brays of stallions and the sweet calls of mares. valtiel had not tried finding more mares to start a herd since that older bachelor so brutally ripped his last one from him- but still the dark stallion lifted his velvety muzzle and let a low, raspy nicker leave from parted lips. perhaps he would try this spring. there was nothing else for him to do anyway, lest he spend weeks idly picking at grass, alone in the sun. and valtiel so hated being alone. even the company of another stallion would do him good right about now. so long as he didn't have to be all alone.

four sharp pink hooves left gouges in the soft green earth as a cocky young stallion threw his long, elegant legs forward in a proud strut, cherry bay head held high and long, delicate oval ears full of interest as horses called out around him. a loud, confident nicker left his strong chest, slipping out from between soft rubbery lips as the colt searched for a new object to lay affection on. jack was not entirely looking to start a herd; he was still young, and full aware that having mares would draw the attention and therefore the wrath of older stallions to him, but this did not mean the young stud could not continue playing his little game, he just had to find a willing subject. early in spring, this was not the easiest task, but if he didn't try, he would grow terribly bored. better to keep himself entertained.

one striped back hoof kicked out as cocoa approached again, a grunt following as dream picked her head up, brown eyes watching cocoa uncertainly. dream had never been a 'touchy' mare, so to much attention was not welcome to her. the appaloosa mare stretched her muzzle forward and nipped cocoa lightly on the muzzle before lowering her head to graze once more, however visibly more relaxed than she had been before. dream was hard to manage in the sense that she just wanted to do her own thing- she didn't like constant grooming or attention, and she didn't like being told what to do. dreams' no less than a vagabond- and so long as she was able to drift and be her grumpy self, she didn't rightly care who was around.

satsuki nosed the stallions' muzzle lightly, scented tail flicking against soft haunches as she stood relaxed at his side. the little pinto mare glanced back to his other mare; she had such a contrasting coat. she was young, and while suki had never much cared for dominance within herds, she wondered if this mare did either. either way she decided it best to claim the position herself- at least until someone more wanting of dominance came along, seeing as how young snowflake was. suki huffed softly, inching forward and nosing fireflys' shoulder lightly before starting to groom him.

a very demanding, loud nicker was thrown from the stocky palomino mares' maw as her nostrils flared, taking in the unmistakable scent of stallions in the area, and she had gone far to long with out the attention of a handsome stud. her silky cream-tinted tail flicked violent against her velvety haunches, spreading the knowledge that she was in was in the later stages of her heat cycle to the world. two pale blue eyes scanned the bright, life-filled world that she had found herself in as of late, far from the land in which she had been born, and even farther from where she had been separated from her last stallion, the young stallion whom appreciated her as she expected to be appreciated from every equine she came across. jackson had been born and raised a spoiled princess, and expected to be treated as no less now.

thinking back, mary couldn't remember ever not being in a herd- once she left her fathers' she was in several different stallions' bands, but never had she been alone. it was always right from one to the next via getting snaked or her stallion losing a battle- this was a new feeling if freedom that she was not used to, and while she loved the ability to traveled where she wanted to instead of following the lead of a stallion and his lead mare, the quiet was getting tedious. perhaps another mare would offer company should she be able to stumble across one, or perhaps another stallion would find the young dun mare before that. not that she would really resist should the attention of a stallion be directed to her; though she had spent so many weeks now traveling by herself, not having obey the order of a lead, it was not entirely something she wanted to give up. a little huff of air escaped flared nostrils- a sigh, leaving her dark maw as young mary struggled with the choices laid before her.

roulette calmed as the younger of the stallions moved off with his herd, and her kind brown eyes found chaos as he moved back to her side. the young mare nosed at his chest lightly before starting to groom him back, resting one leg under her, all but relaxed, completely accepting of this new stallion. roulette enjoyed the company of stallions, and the feeling of safety that being with one brought. she was not a mare equipped to defend herself- and she was not a mare equipped for solitude. her cream tail swished calmly against her hind legs, idly chasing away bugs with a waterfall of fine hairs, spreading what light scent she had for the moment.

Gypsy wandered away a little from the herd, sniffing at the ground, roughly 2 or 3 feet from the other mare, and 10 or so feet from Indian, who watched quietly at the young stud, not finding him as a threat to his only mare. The young filly ignored the snort of her stallion and flicked her tail, looking at the other stallion in front of her. Gypsy flicked a chestnut ear, shaking her flaxen mane. She had gotten nearly 7 feet away from Desi, 15 or so feet away from Indian.

Shadow looked the filly up and down, "Hello," the stallion greeted politely. He wanted to be sure not to spook the little filly by being overly forward. Introduction first, then worry about snaking her.

April - Mare: Alone
April grazed alone in a meadow, right by a small tree. Shadow had told her to stay there, that he would be back soon and that he would stay to protect her until her scent grew to strong for him. April knew that Shadow would only be around to protect her for so long, but hoped it was longer than it should be. She felt so lonely without her twin, but her tense form and perked ears kept her prepared for any stallions that might try to take her.

Cocoa reared back a bit, startled by the kick. He snorted and laid his back and shook his mane at her. He was upset, but not mad. He shook his head at the nip to his muzzle, snorting and pawing at the ground again. He looked at Dream, now a bit more determined to get her attention. He laid his ears back and snorted, throwing his head up and rearing.

Snowflake flicked an ear, grazing where she was. A new mare. Exciting, but the filly wasn't filled with much energy at the moment. She raised her head to look around her. She spotted something laying down and trotted towards it. Her curiosity had gotten the better of her. She approached the brown thing in the grass and as she got closer, it got bigger. She stopped a few yards away from it. It was a buffalo. She flicked an ear and looked at it. It looked back up at her, ignoring her basically. She squealed and galloped off back to the herd which was only 30 yards away at max. She then continued grazing, done with her little adventure.

Gypsy looked up at him. "Hello." She snorted back, her walled eyes looking up at him happily. She stretched her muzzle forward to greet him as well.

Indian pinned his ears towards the other stallion. A small glare warning him to be careful being so close. He flicked an ear and looked at his mare.

Royal just grazed behind the colt, ignoring the both of them, but following when Cocoa moved.

Desi grazed close to Indian, but closer to Gypsy. She was watching over the filly, flattening her ears at the other stallion, warning him to get away from her 'foal.'

Velvet snorted and turned away. Stallions that showed off to mares weren't her idea of a stallion. She went back to grazing. Until he nosed her shoulder anyways. She took off at a trot, just a few yards awy from the stallion then back to grazing.

Firefly snorted and lipped both of his mares, one after the other. He was glad to have a growing herd. He returned the grooming from Satsuki, making his way towards her flank.

Indian snorted in amusement. If Desi started to get anymore frustrated over Shadow, he would drive him off. He went over and lipped at Desi's should to reassure her it was alright.

Snowflake lifted her head to look at Firefly and went back to grazing, flicking her strong scented tail.

Holly flicked her tail, her scent stronger than before. She snorted and grazed.

Rodeo flicked her tail, still not quiet into stage one heat, but the mare had the heat scent.
