Rose Creek
~Kaye~
"Who are you?!" snarled Kaye, stalking up to the loner. "Do you realize what you've done?" she growled, baring her teeth. Now they probably wouldn't be able to find any more food, and the airbrained wolf had scared away the rest of the herd, besides. With a roar Kaye leaped at the wolf, all emotions but anger overcome with her hatred for this wolf that had taken the food that was theirs; sight turning red with rage.
~Reverie~
Reverie hurried forward and tried to block Kaye; it would do the vicious wolf good to calm down and hear what the loner had to say. She knew life could be hard for them, and couldn't help feeling a bit sympathetic for the loner. It seemed unusually thin for the time of year, and it might've had a hard time catching prey. Oh, she couldn't imagine how Druid Peak would receive her, if they hadn't already. Druid Peak wolves were the strongest but the most hostile fighters around, and intolerant of any wolves crossing their boundaries. It didn't seem fair to attack this wolf before it could explain anything, although Reverie did think that it was being a bit ... impudent, talking to the alpha like that. Perhaps it didn't know that Faelon was the alpha of the pack? Its defiant behavior was quite unusual for a loner; most of the time they were so submissive that the wolves around them felt quite embarrassed.
((I've just noticed that from the time of creation, Reverie hasn't said anything.))
