Baby Cavalia blinked his crystal blue eyes and looked around. He whinnied hungerily.

Zanzibar with ears pinned back went to where the black mare had went and screamed in fury. The mare was dead! He reared up and started trampling her body. [I'm sorry Shady:(

Makkila let Cavalia slide off and suckle if he wanted to. She still had milk from Elysium and Tartarus so Cavalia could still feed. She hoped Karma didn't mind her little brother being raised by her but what was she to do? She just stayed silent and let the baby suckle.

Cavalia smiled and suckled from her for ten minutes. Then his knees wobbled and he dropped to his knees. He let out a yawn and layed down.

Makkila let Cavalia sleep as she went to graze on the grass. She looked around for her other children but didn't see them anywhere. Euphoria probably left to go off somewhere and Tartarus was proabaly driven out by Karma. She wondered if Elysium followed him or Euphoria, guessing all her children had now left the nest. She didn't mind though. She had little Cavalia for now.

It was hopeless. She turned away from the stallion and began to run, whinnying as she escaped. She was in pain, long jagged gashes decorated her barrel and it hurt when she ran. But what choice did she have? She winced and slowed before galloping off again.

Firefly watched the whole ordeal with quiet interest. When the other mare had gone and Shady was dead she saw her father show up. She grunted at his fury and trotted away to her mother.

Cavalia slept for a few hours then woke up. It took him ten minutes to be able to stand up on his on. He wobbled over to Makkila. He let out a shrill whinny trying to say momma.

Zanzibar came back his legs caked in blood. He looked angery. He whipped around on the other mare and drove her to Burn.

Parousia pushed her until she plunged into the watering hole and he stopped to scoop up a mouthful of water. After he swallowed he bared his teeth maniacally. "And if I see you anywhere near my herd and my children again, I swear I won't be so merciful," he said and cantered back angrily to his herd.

I thought if I suceeded, I'd be happy and they'd go away
but first ting every morning, I'd still wake up and I'd hear them say:
"You're fat, ugly and stupid; you should really be ashamed. No one will ever like you, you're not good at anything"
sometimes I'd rise to the challenge
but other times I'd feel so bad that I could not get out of bed.

Reaper made sure Kairan and Asha followed as Parousia drove the mare away. He could tell this was all probably way too much for Asha, watching her father beat and banish her mother. If only the little filly knew what went on though, like Kairan, and maybe she'd see the light.

Makkila smiled when Cavalia whinnied though a sharp pang ran through her. She wasn't his mother, only his sister. She knew she had to tell him but he was too little now. She'd tell him when he was older.

Makkila smiled with a laugh at her baby brother's antics. "You're just like your father you know that? Really you are." She nudged him playfully and stepped away a bit, trying to get him to walk to her.
