Shadow watched their conversation then spoke up. "Mind if I tag along?" She asked Zues.

"Abandoned. Its not like I really care much though, having some freedom for once isn't a bad thing." I replied, crossing my eyes at the thought of humans. I despise humans, and see no reason to trust them. They told me that they loved me but it was no more then a lie. I trusted them but that trust was no more then an illusion, a bliss where I thought I would be safe. They took care of me until the day that they didn't, as if suddenly I had started displeasing them. I had loved them but that love has turned into bitter hatred now, I have no room in my heart for these beasts.

They thought that because I was a Savannah that means I'd be fine living as a wild animal even though I had been a pet all my life, use to the soft life. But I proved to them I was strong, I proved to them I was more then a mere toy they could dispose whenever they please. I learned to hunt, I learned to fight. I learned to survive.

"May I tell you mine?" She asked Vixen.

No, I prohibit you from telling me your name. I thought sarcastically. "Sure, what's your name?" I responded smoothly although my tail was twitching slightly from impatience.

[fish sticks]

"I'm Shadow." She said.

[Ourpawprints]

"I'd say I'm Vixen but I think you already know that." I told her, getting to my paws. I followed the tom, my tail twitching impatiently. I turned to look back at Shadow. "I don't know about Zeus here but I see nothing wrong with you tagging along." I added, my voice quiet.

[fish sticks]

"Ok." She said and followed.

"Ye' I guess 'dats fine.So,Shadow was it,what's yer' story?"Zeus asked as they skirted the rich part of town and landed in a fancy yard with a pool and a hot tub all in one.Typical for a house in this part of the neighborhood.Sudden;y he heard something,a sweet voice like butter melting over fresh crab puffs,something Zeus had only experienced once and not to the humans liking.He jumped back onto the fence and saw a spiffy little Siamese sitting with a mangy old stray,"Well hello there,"he said charmingly,"what is a fine specimen like you doin' with a cat like him?"he asked glancing over to the cat.

Shadow ran after him with Vixen hopefully following her.

Oh great, more strays. That just made my day far worse. I leaped back up on the fence and looked down at the strays. "Nothing but telling him to get his head out of garbage." I growled, my tail curled around my legs. Was there some sort of thing happening, there usually weren't so many strays around this area. I began walking along the fence, sniffing the air for prey. I almost expected to be told off, so many strays tell me off for hunting when I am a pet. But its not like they own the prey, if I catch it its mine; weather or not I have a home.


I looked at the she-cat, anger filling my eyes. This prissy little pet thinks that she has the life, sitting back and being babied by humans. But one day she'll know what it is like to be betrayed. She'll know what it is like to be old that you were loved but have that but nothing but a shield to stop you from suspecting the truth. The humans don't care. Once your old enough they no longer consider you cute and adorable they no longer care. And this she-cat will know what we've all gone through soon enough, and I'll be sitting back and watching her with a smug face while she faces betrayal.
