Atlas waited silently, sitting beside a fallen tree waiting for Raycon. He sniffed the air but found no scent of his love. He sighed deeply, wrapping his tail around his paws, shifting into a more comfortable position. Raycon was nowhere in sight, If he didn't show up by sun high then Atlas would leave. Atlas' stomach growled and he winced at the noise. Why did this forest have to be so dang quiet all the time. He sat in an uncomfortable silence until a familiar scent washed over him.
"Atlas? You there?" Raycon's voice rang out among the snow covered ferns.
"I'm here Raycon!" Atlas barked happily.
"I brought you some food." Raycon said stepping out of the bushes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Raycon watched as Atlas gulped down the last of the rabbit. Raycon stood dipping his head to Atlas.
"I must go. My pack will get suspicious if i'm gone to long."
Atlas stood with Raycon pressing his muzzle into Raycon's chest. "I love you."
"I love you too Atlas." Racon said nuzzling him back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Raycon slipped quietly back into the camp, heading to and open clearing with a hare dangling from his muzzle. he sat down and began to eat, still thinking about Atlas...
