taking a few steps forward atlas felt his stomach rumble. he was hungry, but finding something to eat would be hard. most creatures were hiding away from the cold winter, tucked safely in their dens underground. if atlas couldnt find a mouse or vole to eat then hed settle for some berries instead. sniffing the air atlas didnt catch the scent of anything. the male feared that hes have to leave his territory. atlas liked to stay in his little circle of land, he felt safe there. but since it seemed that there was no food nearby then atlas would have wander out of his territory. walking away from his den atlas ventured into the forest, sniffing the air every few paces to see if he could catch scent of a mouse.
