vegas's father was a proud stud who had battled with humans all his life- desperately clinging to his herd, to the wild. his mother, an ornery, tiny mustang mare who led the herd with great dominance. vegas learned his hard ways from his father, and his stubborn, dominant traits from his mother, becoming a violent, head-strong stallion at a very young age. once he reached two years old, his father was more than happy to drive the colt out into the world, for fear he would try to overthrow him. vegas wandered for over a year by himself, collecting scars and experience from fights with stallions and predators a like, though never did he shy away from a challenge. at just three years old, the stubborn stallion snaked a lone yearling into being his first mare, and kept her on a tight leash, knowing that if a challenger came by he may not be able to keep her. over the years, vegas built up a harem of nine steady mares who he held onto with a firm rule. it wasn't until just before the stallion turned fourteen years old that everything was taken from him. in the middle of a spring storm, two trees were torn up by the winds, and came crashing down just beside the herd, spooking the mares and sending them sprinting. vegas chased after them in fury, but they were gone, fled into the rain and the darkness. furious at his loss and determined to build up a glorious herd once more, the stallion set out to find more mares.

vegas is a cruel stallion. harsh, possessive, hot-headed. his mares are trophies. he is not satisfied unless he has collected a harem of beautiful prizes to flaunt and display as he wishes. obedience is one thing the stallion always demands, and if it is not given to him upon first glance he will break a mare to his wishes. vegas believes himself high and mighty, royalty. a stallion to be respected. he has little to no patience, and as such with snap if a mare steps out of line once, or if a stallion wanders just that little bit to close to his trophies. he is paranoid, to say the least, believing that his mares will run or be taken if he so much as closes his eyes to rest for a moment, and has become a very light sleeper, twitching awake at the slightest sound. his pride often drives him to do stupid and idiotic things, though his fearsome scream often chases away anything he may challenge before he gets to it. he is secretive, caring deeply for his mares but treating them as though it were the opposite. in moments of calm, when he has what he wants and obedience is established, he may show flickers of kindness to the mares he so desperately holds onto.

valtiel has had an ultimately uneventful upbringing; set aside his encounter with humans. born in a land where man was a threat each passing day, it was no surprise when a young ebony colt of nine months old was penned beside half of his fathers' herd and taken to be broken and sold- or killed, in the case of those who would not be broken. valtiel watched was two mares and his father were dragged off and put down due to extreme resistance and violence, and learned to surrender himself as a result. the humans locked him up in a small box when she showed obedience, rarely coming by to pay him attention. ultimately forgetting him, along with several other wild-caught mustangs that were penned unhappily in their own boxes all around him with little food and water and nowhere to move. for two years he struggled to survive on what little he got, watching weaker, less determined horses fall around him, only to be replaced by new ones. he was just weeks off of being three years old when, unbeknownst to him, the humans left their little patch of land, selling it off to be torn down and rebuilt as something new. two men came through the row of boxes, opening them up and lashing out with whips, forcing horses through the open doors at the end of the hall and up into a trailer. and it was then that valtiel saw a chance to free himself; to get away from these humans. a rope was tightened around his neck and he was walked out into the corridor as a full trailer pulled away and a new one prepared to take it's place. he did not wait for it pull into place. valtiel ripped himself away from the humans, the sudden movement surprising the man and allowing the young stallion to tear the rope from his hands as he ran. and he didn't stop. valtiel spent nearly two years traveling, fighting other bachelors and finding groups of young studs to huddle with when the cold became too much, but he always moved on. away, putting thousands of miles between himself and human-infested land. he was six years old when he decided to try his hand at a herd- when he decided he was strong enough to keep one. experienced enough. he was wrong. he built up a harem of three mares and kept them or little over a year before they were stolen from him by an older stallion. he was fourteen, big and butch and he laid waste to valtiel, adding his three mares and two little fillies to his own large herd, leaving the single colt dead beside his broken father. valtiel slowly recovered, his broken body became little more than a scarred one, and when he turned eight, valtiel decided to try again. just to find some mares.

dark, quiet, observant, intelligent, valiant, paranoid, harsh, kind-hearted, protective, troubled, secretive, silent, calm, charismatic
valtiel is a very dark, quiet stallion. while most strut about and show off to their mares, being loud to prove themselves valtiel prefers to instead remain a quiet guardian, reaching out when his herd had need of him or a mare wishes for contact. saying this, he is not a lenient stallion. in moments of calm, his kind heart and gentle nature is clear to the world, though when the herd is moving or being threatened, valtiel is fine with angering his herd, being harsh with them to keep them safe. he shares little about himself- in fact he speaks rarely, though when he does it is mostly kind, charismatic words that flow from his maw, never missing a beat. he is a valiant stallion, if not constantly paranoid of older stallions coming around and taking his herd from him again. valtiel is a good stallion for the most part, or at least tries to be.

jack has yet to have had much of a history, seeing as he is only four years old. he was born in the wild to a moderately sized herd lead by a cranky old mare and his father. his young life was a very docile one- lost of slow travels and grazing. at a young age of one year old, the colt began to grow into himself, and began to see his own physical appearance as a beautiful one. he became very vain, egotistical, and this lead to the development of his loud, demanding, proud nature that to be honest, many young stallions have. at two years old he left his fathers herd and joined a group of young stallions who were not yet ready to start herds. not that jack intended to amble about lazily boxing with other yearlings until he was five to break off and try his hand at mares- jack instead decided to get himself into trouble. repeatedly. he became and expert in creeping up on lone mares and mares a distance from the their stallions whom where in the later stages of their heat cycles, only to cover them and subsequently run from furious stallions. this is how he discovered his speed outmatched both his desire and skill for battle. still, jack prefers to make a game out of covering mares whilst hanging around other young bachelors, not entirely confident in his ability to keep a herd.

confident. egotistical. vain. these are just a few words that perfectly describe the cocky young stud. he believes he is truly something special, a gift to bless this earth he walks upon, and doesn't understand why everyone else doesn't. he is very loud, opinionated, always speaking up about what he wants or doesn't like and can be very, very demanding. jack is a very passionate stallion- overzealous and unsubtle in presenting emotions and thoughts, wants and needs. saying all of this about him, he is not an unkind stallion- he can be very affectionate and loving, honest and willing to charge recklessly into battle for his herd despite both age and body type. one you get stuck with jack, it's hard to leave him behind.

dream was born into a small herd, surprisingly, considering her fathers' prideful personality. her mother was a beautiful appaloosa mare, her name lovely memories, and her father was a great big paint mustang by the name of haunted dreams. dream lived a rather uneventful life as a foal, despite her constant pranks and fights with other foals. at the age of two years, the young mare left her birth herd and was almost instantly snaked by a stallion because of her beautiful coat. she didn't stay long though, for she couldn't bare to be pushed around by his lead mare and wasn't strong enough to overthrow her. one night about six months later, she fled in the night. this pattern repeated, for a long time. she would stay with a herd throughout and autumn and winter, and flee in spring. a couple of times she allowed a stallion cover her in the last stage of her heat, and she bore four foals before she found a herd where she stayed. when she was nearly seven years old she ran into a young stallion of only five, with three mares hardly older than four. dream joined as their lead mare, and stayed with them for some years. she gave birth to her previous studs' colt during that spring- a capable palomino boy whom she named garret. after that, she gave her new stallion three other foals. the first, a weak colt that didn't make it to summer. at the start of winter, during the first snow, her stallion was killed defending the herd from a cougar. dream was left with a disgruntled band of mares and her two fillies, one of which whom would have been ready to leave the herd- ellie, and her yearling luca. deciding she didn't want to deal with the group of mares, dream set out into the cold, unforgiving landscape with her fillies. during the winter, both of her fillies starved, and now, alone once again, dream prepares for the new stallions to come running.

harsh, stubborn, protective, extremely dominant, brave, hot-headed, fearless, motherly
dream is... well she's been described as a number of things. sociopath. pessimist. for starters, this mare is one of the most dominant you will ever meet. even when she was a foal, she would poke and prod the lead mare of her fathers' herd until she lashed out at the filly. dream will not think twice when taking control of a herd, no matter what anyone has to say about it. she will put anyone and everyone in their place, including her stallion. it takes a very patient, strong willed stallion to control dream. the mare is very brave and protective, willing to challenge anything to protect her foals or get what she wants, be it mare or stallion or predator, or even human. stubborn. if dream doesn't want to do something, it won't happen. if she wants something, it will be hers. no way around that. she will not stop, will not rest until she fulfills her wishes. dream has a very explosive temper, and will lash out at everything and everyone if provoked. the mare is ruthless, willing to kill anything and everything that angers, threatens, or challenges her, including other mares. and, just like her brother haunt, dream is a cruel horse. demanding. harsh. unafraid to drive out an annoying mare or even lash out at her stallion.

stolas is just one of those horses- she's had a completely normal, boring life as a wild horse. born to her fathers' herd, she was driven out to find her own when she went into her first heat at just under two years old. and she did. she fell in with an older stallion and his band of six other mares, giving him four foals before he passed away and the mares disbanded. at the age of six, nearly seven, stolas set out to find a new herd once again, and this time bounced from stallion to stallion via being snaked or her band stallion defeated in battle- she raised two more foals with two different stallions before turning ten. now, she has found herself alone again, and plans to rectify that.

stolas is a good leader, and a good mother. these are two of the biggest traits about her. she is level-headed and makes decisions quickly without losing her temper nor her sense for what is best for the herd. she gets very attached to those she travels with and her foals and she does feel a sense of loyalty to herd members, however she has had ten years to learn how to survive, and a lot of the time that means leaving the weak and the dumb behind. stolas does not let such things cloud her judgement, instead putting the survival of herself and the overall health and safety of her herd before all else. she is very likely to strut in and take charge of a herd if she is the eldest mare within it, but is smart enough to respect the lead of a mare more than two or three years her elder. stolas is very accepting and obedient to stallions- but very picky all the same. stolas refuses to follow stallions too young or stallions nearing the end of their lives, and refuses to follow stallions too dumb for their own good. of you meet her criteria, you have a mare who will not only jump on board near immediately, but follow to the ends of the earth.

satsuki has had a pretty average history for a wild-born mustang. born in late winter into her young fathers' small herd as the first foal of the year, her mother an ornery old mare who led the herd, suki being her last foal as she was aging and no longer able to produce healthy foals. which was probably the reason for suki's weak, sickly little body that nestled into the snow that chilly morning. it was a surprise that she survived. but she did, and at two years old she ventured from her father, a nearby band stallion quickly taking notice of the sweet little beauty and scooping her up. suki lived with this herd and gave birth to many foals until she was eight years old, when she was separated from them during a bad summer storm. from here she found herself in the possession of a very young stallion, just four years old, whom she only stayed with for a matter of months before she could not longer stand the inexperience and constant boasting. it was not hard to get away from him- he had never had any other mares before and had no idea what he was doing. now, she simply waits her next herd.

just like most horses- valentine has had a very average history. she lived her first two years in her fathers' herd, and once she came into her first heat cycle, she left, as all young mares do, to avoid inbreeding and to find a suitable new stallion. it didn't take long for her to be noticed by a stallion- she was a beautiful mare, young and healthy, able to produce capable foals for years to come. despite this, valentine has been in only three herds in her eleven years of life- as the stallions who have claimed her have held tightly to the dependable mare, keeping her for as long as they could. now, at a healthy age of eleven, valentine is once again alone, and once again ready for a new herd.

this fiery mares' demanding personality can be explained by her spoiled, easy past. she was born to a pretty little morgan mare on a small farm owned by a family of four- granted little jacks was entirely an accident, her father somehow finding himself in a paddock for just long enough to create little jacks. nonetheless, the family's young daughter fell in love with the pretty palomino filly that arrived as a result, and was allowed to keep the filly. jacks lived here for five years, being spoiled and praised and showered with treats and affection until one day, with no warning, the father cast her and a few other horses out into the wilderness beyond the paddock fences to survive in the wild. jacks was lost at first, unsure of her next course of action, and spent many days wandering around the perimeter of the farm, watching as the family vacated with the few horses they had kept and left her home abandoned. it didn't take long for a wild stallion to track her down when she came into heat mere days later and snatch her up, and after a few days jackson settled back into her usual self. she remained with this stallion for roughly two years before she was separated from his herd during a storm, and now she simply waits for the next stud to strut by.

miss jackson is a duchess, to put things lightly. she is demanding and loud and makes sure everyone knows just exactly what she wants. often she will moan and whine and prod until her desires are sated. she is a very hard mare to handle. not taking no for an answer and snapping back her lead and her stallion even when threatened by an obviously stronger foe. she spent almost six years of her life being treated as a princess, and expects no less now. she has a very short temper, and tends to snap at other horses for no reason, believing herself more important than them. she does not take to being bossed about very well, and only on good days does she show any sign of a calm demeanor.

romance has not had much of a history at all- at least not an exciting one. she was born into a rather large herd, the daughter of a beautiful appaloosa mare with a hideous attitude who led her young stallions' herd proudly. the little appaloosa filly looked almost just like her mother. at the age of just one year old, little romance went into her first heat cycle, and when a handsome young stallion trotted too near the herd she was off. romance has given birth to a foal a year since then, and raised many healthy babies within the same herd- until this year. during the harsh of winter the stallion she had been with for the last six years passed away, and his small group of mares split up. romance is looking to re-create what she had lost now.

just like her mother, romance has a strong personality- albeit a bit different than dream's harsh demeanor. sure, the mare is still loud and rather negative- but that's only part of it. she is very fiery, hot-blooded and flirty. the bigger, stronger, and more handsome stallions will see romance prancing right up to them, happy and innocent, though as soon as a stallion she likes the look of better passes by, she will leave to go to him. romance has no real sense of loyalty- whatever she likes the look of, she takes for herself. she can get rather aggressive with other mares and foals in her herd, though does not dream of ever being a lead mare- it would tie her to one herd. take away her fun.

saokuro is a gentle soul- accepting of all equines that cross her path and equally as protecting of them. she is a very motherly figure to many horses she meets, wanting only the best for everyone. she is very trusting of almost everyone she meets, and is fiercely loyal to her stallion and his lead especially, though she will always but the welfare of herself and her sisters above all else. she is very obedient when it comes to stallions, unlike her sisters. so long as you are kind to her and able to keep her and her sisters safe, she will follow wherever you lead. however, she is very.. bold. brave. she is happy to defend herself and her sisters against predators and anything else that may threaten their safety.

takuro is a very kind mare when it comes down to it just like saokuro, however, she is very unlike her sister in almost every other regard. taku is very uncertain of stallions and strange horses in general, preferring instead to be only with her sisters, though sai will not hear of it. she can be very demanding when is comes to horses she is close to to- needing much attention from sai and phantom and perhaps even her stallion if she settles in with him. she has a short fuse, and while she generally does not startle much, she angers very quickly, and you are sure to know when you have crossed the line with her, as she can be very loud, very opinionated, violent, almost. she is reckless and stubborn, getting herself and others into sticky situations and not being able to admit that she needs help, or not knowing when to just give up and relinquish control.

phantom has not had much of a history. she a rather sickly foal- the year before her mother had given birth to twins, leaving her very weak, though it must have been some miracle that kept all three mares alive. she grew up in her fathers' herd beside her sisters, and when the pair turned two years old and left the herd, little yearling phantom went with them. since then she has been moved from herd to herd, relying heavily on her sisters' to keep her alive. phantom has given birth to two foals in her lifetime, both to different stallions, and while both where healthy foals phantom was such a wreck all the time that her sisters had to help bring them to maturity. come this new season the trio has found themselves alone again, and are waiting for a new herd.

phantom is very skittish, very nervous. every little noise and sudden movement throws the young mare off, sending her running for the hills. she tends to pick up and run whenever she sees something she doesn't like- sometimes right into something more dangerous than whatever little thing had startled her. it's a wonder her sisters have kept her alive as long as they have. phantom follows her sisters' every order, every command, and so long as her sisters' like or trust you, she does as well. when it comes down to it, she is a very kind, gentle mare with a good nature, and there is no real reason for her massive anxiety- she has just always been that way.

roulette was born in the spring- a bit of a late arrival. she does not remember her true mother, just bits and pieces. a patched coat, a scarred face, two empty hazel eyes. her mother left, or rather, was left behind, by her herd when roulette was only two weeks old- though she was taken in by an older mare whom had lost her foal to the cold clutches of winter. roulette modeled herself after the mare- copying her word for word, step for step. roulette looked up to her, and in turn grew to 'inherit' large parts of her personality. despite being abandoned and adopted- the rest of roulette's history is very regular, and there is not much to it, to be honest. she is only four years old, after all. at two years old the mare whom she had come to know as her mother passed on, and roulette has been juggled being different herds ever since, though this spring, unfortunately, she has found herself alone and is waiting for a new herd to join.

roulette is very gentle, very calm and docile. she takes orders in hand and follows through with them exactly, always very accepting of changes in her life, of new leads and stallions and environments. she is a very easy young mare to get along with and to handle- often making friends with every member of her herd. she is submissive, always bending to the will of her stallion or other mares within the herd, and is overly trusting, a trait which many say will get her harmed one day. she is a very motherly mare, despite her young age- she simply adores foals and yearlings alike, though she has yet to successfully deliver a healthy foal- having given birth but once, and to a weak filly in the dead of winter who did not grow to see spring.

∴History∴

Although Soul hasn't led a hectic life, he sure has taken some dangerous adventures. He started out normal; but, when he was old enough to take care of himself, his curiosity got the best of him. And he hasn't yet been able to recover. Fortunately, he is quite large and has an abundance of power, which would enable him to protect himself once he stuck his nose where it doesn't belong.

He once had a mare, before the ever frightful act of birth took her from him. Neither foal or mare made it out of that scene. Soul still beats himself up about it, although he hides his burning fear behind his wall of an ego. Due to this experience, though, Soul nearly always refuses to cover a mare. He is very respectful, but his urge to play can sometimes seem overwhelming.

Soul is very plausible, and he will keep whatever secret you ask him to. So long as it doesn't interfere with his or his potential herd's safety. He is rather protective, but nit necessarily clingy.

Soul gets along with almost everybody, although he doesn't tolerate any obscene behavior. He doesn't like wet, heavy grass. Soul isn't afraid of thunder and lightning storms, but when the two come together, Soul prefers to stay tucked under a tree's cover.

∴Likes∴

Soul likes maturity, mainly because he himself lacks it. He enjoys running and gravitates toward those who are happy to race him. This colt also likes to have company, as any other horse would.

∴Strength∴

Soul doesn't think he has any strengths. But, when it comes down to it, Soul is very brave and courageous. His sheer power itself probably doesn't hurt him in this aspect, and he is very quick on his hooves.

∴Weakness∴

As stated before, Soul has had some rough experiences with mare covering. Therefore, he has a mild fear or what's to come afterwords. Soul also prefers to travel around rushing, rapid water; although, he will travel through it if there is no other way around.
