Finnegan is a male tri-colour Border Collie. He came from a wonderful working breeder in southern Ontario, and came home as a pup in January 2009.A true border collie, Finn loves nothing more than chasing moving objects (e.g. ball, cat) and is FULL of energy. It takes a lot to keep his busy brain satisfied, but when he gets a good run and some training every day, he’s the best dog ever. He is a snuggle solicitor and loves everyone and everything (especially other dogs and his beloved cat roomie, June Bug). He loves toys of all kinds, especially anything vaguely ball-shaped and anything that can be used as a tug. He enjoys making wookie noises while rolling around on the floor with his favourite toys.
Finn and I have dabbled in herding training and he’s proving to have a wonderful natural instinct on sheep. We hope to continue pursuing the herding training, as well as play in agility and flyball.

June Bug is a female domestic longhair dilute calico cat. She came home as a rescued scraggly little kitten at 3 months, having gone through two surgeries already in her young life. Despite that, she grew into a big healthy kitty, and you’d never know she had a rocky start.June Bug is an active cat. A very active cat. If Border Collies would be cats, they’d be a June Bug. Needless to say, Finn and June’s energy levels complement one another, and as such they are the best of pals. Finn loves to chase her around the house, and as soon as his back is turned, June is hot on Her heels. It’s not uncommon to hear June running laps around the living room late at night, either.
June Bug’s favorite pastimes are playing with jingly toys and crinkle mice, occupying laps, napping in sunbeams, pouncing on Finnegan’s head and playing with the ferrets.
