The roads were icy, the car slipped; both cars went off the road. The other driver walked away with minor injuries; while his mom died from the impact. His father changed, after that. He used to be a loving, caring father, but everything about him changed. He grew hostile, and turned to drinking. Josh was forced to fend for himself; make his own meals, put himself to bed, walk himself to school, etc. He was independent from a very young age.
