the rich. the poor. there's always been the dividing line. the ones who can afford to enjoy the pleasures of life, and the ones who can afford for a loaf of bread as their pleasure. the truth is, we're all the same. but there's still that gap between the wealthy and the 'worthless'.

but what if, out of the blue, the sun began to heat up? what if it began to boil like a kettle? and what would happen at it's boiling point?
that's exactly what's going on. is it the end of the world? nobody knows. all they know is that you can't stay outside for me than one - two hours. people have been seen burning if they stay out too long. burning like saint elmo's fire. animals are turned to crisp where they stand. the heat is almost unbearable.

and yet, the rich seem to have found a way out. only a few know of the government's secret - a massive underground maze of tunnels, that only let the rich in.

but you've found it. you've stumbled across the entrance to salvation. this could be your last hope of survival, however it could equally be another chance of death. it's your choice, and it's a tough one. but only one things for sure, and that is that the end of the human race could quickly be upon you, so you'd better make your decision quick!

With smaller tunnels winding further underground, leading to underground bunkers. Some side-tunnels
lead to mansions and large buildings, so the rich have a direct route underground.

Despite her intimidating looks, Artemis is a sweet girl. When she isn't with strangers.

She would do anything for her little brother, Marcus. Art is quite overprotective of him, hence them sharing an apartment.
Art and Marcus are the perfect team - he talks, she listens.

How did she find the tunnels?
Artemis found one of the entrances to the tunnels in the back of a store room at her job in the food store,
while she was preparing to restock some shelves. Forgetting that she actually had a job to do, Art immediately
went into the tunnels to investigate.

History:
Artemis grew up in the countryside and moved to the city to escape her parents as soon as soon as she hit
eighteen. She managed to rent a cheap apartment, which she shared with her brother, and find a 9 til 5 job
at a nearby food store. Artemis was dared to get two eyebrow piercings by her younger brother, and
since then she fell in love with them and got six more piercings on her face.

Fallon is an interesting character. To most people, and strangers, she is snappy and irritably, and extremely hard to live with. She's very argumentative and constantly picking fights. Fallon is reckless and cocky, grumpy and moody. When she's in a bad mood, she's like a bomb: one touch and she'll explode. Fallon is stubborn, too, and even when she knows she's wrong she sticks with it, oit of pride. Yes, she is proud and ambitious, not to mention extremely strong-willed. She can sometimes be a bully, too, but strangely enough, she really doesn't intend to. She's just very unwilling to trust anyone, and that's why she seems intent on making the world her enemies.
It is hard to become Fallon's friend, mainly because she doesn't want anyone to. She makes a good friend, though: she's fiercely loyal and protective, and also caring and occasionally kind. Unbelievable, right? She'll also crack a few jokes. However, unfortunately, she is still stubborn and uncooperative, we. If she does care about you. Also, Fallon doesn't have a crush, nor a boyfriend at the moment.
Now, Fallon's past... She used to live in a mansion, rich and happy, but when her house burned down she lost all of that: along with her mother. Then it was just her and her father. Her father tried to get work were ever he could, yet a few years later he became ill from skin cancer. She was trying to find work in a thrift shop to get money for him when she discovered the tunnels. Curious, she entered them: and found out what they were. She went back to get her family and bring them too, but when she came back she found that her father had died, so she only came back alone.

Kyle is the exact opposite of Fallon. He's skittish and shy, a constant worrier, nervous and awkward. Shy and skittish and the opposite of bold, Kyle does try to be brave, but it usually doesn't work like that. He's very imaginative and smart, and clever. Kyle is also energetic, though clusmy and often messing up, being very forgetful. He's a picky eater, not very sassy, though a loyal and good friend. He's the one that's always there for you.
Kyle, however, does have flaws. Shy and sensitive, he's very gullible: if you told him wheat pennies were made out of wheat, he'd believe you. He's also much too trusting, willing to trust anyone including strangers, which often gets him into trouble. However, Kyle is very dependable, very reliable. If you ask him to get down thing done, he'll get it done.
Kyle's younger sister died when he was 5. His mother and father started falling apart after that, and by the time he was 10 they got divorced. Kyle went to live with his mother. They were poor for some time, yet when his grandmother died, they inherited all her property and became rich. That was when the tunnels were founded and he and his mother went to live in them.

How he found the tunnel;;
While looking for books in the city library, he found an old door that lead to the more dusty part of the library. Looking around, he saw a crudely made tunnel that sloped downward. Eager to explore, he went down without looking back.

Personality;;
Luc is very quiet, and has some trouble talking to new people. He likes to talk about science and history. Luc is French, but will speak English when necessary. His is soft-spoken, kind, compassionate, sensible, and optimistic. He can be sarcastic, and is known to be a good listener.

History;;
Luc had transferred to the city from France the year before everything started warming up. Unable to fly the distance home with the surface temperature the way it was, he stayed with random people in the city. He volunteered part-time at the library to pass the time.
