Welcome to Pine Lodge Academy, where you will discover and learn about the amazing world of horses. You will also be taught the toughest three sports in history - Dressage, Show Jumping, and Cross-Country. Pine Lodge Academy is one of the world's best academies, the home to future and past champions, holding the hardest and most experienced, winning horses. The school is located in Canada, far into the east, and it accepts the most advanced and best riders from all over the world. Only twenty among those five hundred letters are picked and brought into the academy for four, whole, long years. Ten girls, ten boys. Each rider will be assigned to a horse that masters the same discipline - and together the pair will work to pass through the toughest competitions against other brilliant riders from the other award-winning academies. Will you stay or will you go?

Role-play Rules

This is a semi-lit role-play. Write a minimum of four sentences/a paragraph.
This is a realistic horse role-play. No green flying unicorns or super-fast horses that always win.
No role-playing as a horse - you can only control them by their actions or so.
Keep everything PG-13.
Don't go straight into romance. This is a horse role-play - I will allow crushes and dating but no doing it all of the time.
Keep your genders even. No three boys and 3562 girls.
Only two riders per user. It is not needed to have two characters, but if you do make another, opposite gender please.
Only one pet per user. I don't want this role-play to be spammed with various types of animals.
Use brackets or so to be OOC. Example - ( ), { }, and so on.
No OOC romance or fighting.
No time-skipping without my permission.
If you're inactive for over a week without a given reason, I will delete all of your history and information and you will have to re-join to role-play again.
Do not go more than 10 pages without me.


Stable Rules

The bell goes on at 6:30AM and off at 9PM.
Never leave the academy with-out permission.
Never abandon or abuse your horse unless ill or injured.
Never be late for lessons.
Never ride a horse without a helmet.
No riding after dark.
Never go into the school or arena without permission.
Fighting will result in exclusion.
Never enter the opposite gender's dorms.
Never dis-obey a staff member.

The Academy

The main building/academy
This old building has held many students over the years, and is one of the biggest in Canada. It is the main building and contains a meeting room, lounge, kitchen, dining room, snack/bar room, gym, few classrooms, dorms, toilets and bathrooms.

The stable
The stable has recently been rebuilt in to a better and cleaner place. It has 10 horses on either side, adding that up to 20. It also contains four extras stalls, two washing stalls, a breeding and a birthing stall.

The tack room
Each student will have their own tack room containing their own tack which is hidden in a small building behind the academy. In case students are in need of an extra piece of tack or equipment, we can provide it for you.

The feed room
There are four feed rooms in a building next to the tack rooms, meaning five students per feed room. We re-stock our feeds each week.

The pasture
The pasture is a long and wide grazing field, fit enough for all horse. We make sure all the mares, stallions, geldings and foals are friendly and behave.

The indoor school
The indoor school can hold up to 10 horses at once and can be used for almost anything.

The outdoor school
The outdoor school can hold up to 13 horses at once, and again, can be used for almost anything.

The Dressage arena & Cross-Country course
The Dressage arena is only used for competitions as practicing/training can be done in the schools, but the Cross-Country course is both used for schooling and competitions.

The Show Jumping course
The Show Jumping course is only used for competitions as there are jumps and poles provided for jumping/practicing in the schools.

The Horses


Morning Tunes
Morning is a beautiful 12 year old varnish roan Appaloosa X Thoroughbred standing at 15.3 hands. Previously, the young gelding was being trained for Racing, but it didn't work out so Pine Lodge accepted him into the academy and now he is living his life as a Cross-Country horse. He is often the favourite, always being given a sugar-cube or two and getting full attention, as his manners are the kindest a horse like him could have. He is paired up with Rio Henderson.


Royal Starships
Royal was our true first Show Jumper here - wearing a dazzling grey dappled coat whilst being a Warmblood, and standing at 16.3 hands. She's our oldest here and has taught all of our newest addition how to behave and show - she's literally like our nanny and trainer. She may be almost 18 years old, but she still goes like mad in the show ring and never gives up - she's still living her life before she retires soon, and gives her riders the best she can. She's a real princess and a real sweet ride. She is paired up with Derek Logan Rosewood.


Midnight Waltz
Midnight is a serious and sporty 16 hand high black Warmblood X Friesian gelding. He's still in his younger years, 13 years old, yet he's one big boss of the show-ring and master of Cross-Country. Never is he seen taking a joke or bursting up with laughter - he was born serious and he will stay serious. Running and jumping is his life; if he had to stop, he'd go insane. If the active and mighty gelding was born to do it, he can't die to do it. Thus he will be also be assigned to a top rider. He is paired up with Luke Owens.


Blood and Crystal
Crystal is the rare mare; a one of a kind horse. She's an excellent cremello Thoroughbred, currently competing in Show Jumping. She is as tall as 16 hands high and as old as 11 years old. She's one of the top Show Jumpers down here at Pine Lodge, and there is always a fight as for who gets assigned to her. Crystal was also born at Pine Lodge, sired by the same pair as Amber Glass. She is the personal horse of Ani Summers.


2 Hot 4 U
Tyler the dark bay Hanoverian really is too hot for you; an official mare's man, thus he is a Dressage stallion. His impressive moves and show-off position wins him any cup he wants, especially when he's standing at a whopping 16.3 hands, with just a young age of 7 years old. Earlier in life the stud was used for Show Jumping, but he failed to show a slightest bit of interest, with his fancy Arabian-like position and tough build. So now his aim is Dressage, which he is mastering successfully so far. And as most say, the quote that really fits him is "Tyler's the name and flirting's the game", hence his show-name. He is paired up with Asael Bielski.


Dancing Queen
The light dappled grey Warmblood is one sassy, elegant and posh mare. She's not very friendly to other horses but is like pure gold to ride, eager to finish the fastest and win sweet victory. She came to us only a few years ago as a spoiled and rude mare, but we taught her how to behave and is now the often picked one for Show Jumping. Queen currently stands at 16.1 hands high and is competing as a 9 year old. She is paired up with James Edward Rotherington.


Turkish Delight
Another dapple grey Warmblood X Percheron gelding we own is Turkish Delight, one of our top Dressage stars. He is around 16.2 hands high and is quite the oldie at 16 years old, but still competes for his own sake. Though he is least chosen for his height and muscular build, Delight is in fact a very kind gentle man. We got him when he was only a little weak colt and now he is one of our super stars. He is paired up with Kia Rachael Warner.


Checkered Chess
This cheeky fella, a great favourite too, is a perfect grey blanket Appaloosa Cross-Country horse. He may be only 6 years old and 15 hands high, but is a real fun to ride. He was sired out of an old stud that belonged to Pine Lodge a few years ago and a long-dead mare. Chess may be a stallion, but deep inside, he is still a energetic colt, always prancing about and eager to do any challenge or course he is asked to do. He has only been ridden by the much advanced riders because of how prancy and playful he is, thus he will be assigned to one. He is paired up with Fable Quinn Stark.


Amber Glass
Amber is a very young stubborn bay Thoroughbred mare. She's around 6 years old, standing around 15.3 hands high and still being trained, so she has competed very few times. She may be lazy, but she will jump anything that she is asked to jump, and once she get's going, she's like a booster! Amber was born at Pine Lodge, out of a pair that isn't here anymore. She has mastered Dressage and Show Jumping so far, and is currently being trained to do Cross Country. She's an eventer, so she'll gladly go to any rider of any discipline and anyone who can keep her going! She is paired up with Rebekah Skye Thorne.


Cherry Wine
Cherry is a sweet but shy chestnut Quarter Horse standing around 15 hands. She's only been with us for a year, turning 14 years old, and has made brilliant progress so far. She had a tough past, so we're trying to give her the best life we can. Cherry was born at a poor-rated farm and then sold to the slaughter horse once she was no use for pulling carts and wagons. She was saved just minutes before slaughter and is now developing in Show Jumping. She is paired up with Taylor Elizabeth Andrews.


Lady Aisling
Lady is the perfect dream ride - which is why her name is Aisling, meaning 'Dream' in Irish. She's a beautiful bay Warmblood, only standing at 15.1 hands. She came to us with Royal Starships, and since then, they have been best friends; they are never seen apart in the paddock and have stalls next to each other. Lady is also quite old, but younger than Royal - 14 years old. The wonderful mare is a steady and calm Cross-Country ride but willing to take on anything. She is paired up with Ava Blair Cunning.


Cappuccino Cream
Caramel was raised by Skye Cara Summers herself - she was sired by 2 Hot 4 U and born out of Royal Starships. The sweet and trust-worthy palomino Hanoverian X Warmblood mare is one of the friendliest and merriest horses at Pine Lodge. She'll do what her rider asks, despite being the youngest (only 5 years old) but already standing as high as 16.2 hands. Caramel will never let anyone over-take her, she'll go as wild as a demon if anyone else apart from Skye's sister Ani Summers tries to saddle her up. The gentle mare will only be honest and trustful with Skye, and never fail to keep her promises.


Metallic Angel
Metal is just like 2 Hot 4 U; a mare's man as well, with his shimmering black coat. Surprisingly though, he's a Missouri Foxtrotter, at 15.3 hands and only 10 years old. He came to us from a Western Ranch as a young colt and we got him going into Dressage - he's another sassy and fidgety one, just like Dancing Queen. He needs everything to his commands and is one prince in his bloodlines. He's previously been used as a stud before he went lame a year ago, so we gelded him but he's still catching mares. He is paired up with Jason Hale.


Chocolate Wish
Chocolate is a stunning dark bay Irish Hunter X, standing at 16.2 hands and only at a young age of 8 years old. He was previously being trained to master Cross-Country, just like his twin brother, Golden Survivor, but failed as he spooks quite a lot because of abuse in his early years, so he is now dreaming in Show Jumping. Both of the stallions were brought up at an abusive stud farm, until a barn fire emerged and the twins escaped as only little 1 year old colts. Not long after that, police and animal rescuers noticed the couple and brought them in - fed them and did a little bit of examining until they were ready to go to a home, so we took them in, all the way from Ireland. The couple are now living their lives to the fullest and are only available for experienced riders. He is paired up with Caderyn Andrew Shrike.


Golden Survivor
Survivor is also an amazing dark bay Irish Hunter, standing at 16.2 hands and living at the age of 8 years old, just like his brother, Chocolate Wish. He is more braver though, and doesn't really care about stepping on twigs or hearing big, terribly loud noises. He just goes forth and does what he's supposed to do. We don't even think he remembers his past - he's been enjoying his new life at Cross-Country and loves all of the riders that mount him. He un-separable with Chocolate, just like Lady Aisling and Royal Starships, so yet again, their stalls are right next to each other. He is paired up with Alexandra Jane Bennett.


Brindled Ivory
Ivy is the personal horse of Rachael Edwards, the Summers' sisters hired riding instructor. Ivy is a chestnut Warmblood X, standing at 16 hands, living on at 13 years old and is a one-of-a-kind mare. She's a sweet mare and a friendly one, and is madly in love with racing - but she's mastering Dressage at the moment. She was born at a racing farm but once she was entered in her first race, everyone booed at her as she finished near-last. Everyone thought she was no fit for racing - thus she was sold to Rachael and now the pair compete in various Dressage competitions outside of the Academy.


Raven Wings
Raven is one our of most popular horses at Pine Lodge, along with Forever Young. She's the god of beauty, being a superb pure-black Friesian mare at only 15.2 hands high. Her coat is always shining like a star, which is she, and she just loves to work, whatever she has to do. She's only 12 years old but making the best progress she can - she came to us only 3 years ago in the worst state anyone could see a beautiful horse in. She was as skinny as a Thoroughbred, you could even count her ribs; her hooves were way out-grown, and her mane as well as tail and feathering were too long that she couldn't even walk without tripping. Luckily we had enough love and care to save her and now she's as fit as a star and doing well in Dressage so far. She is paired up with Bishop Cade Thorn.


Doodle Bug
Doodle is like a mixture of 2 Hot 4 U and Midnight Waltz - sporty and serious but flirty and bossy. He's an Anglo-Arab X Warmblood X Thoroughbred, 10 years old and standing at 15.3 hands. He's quite the relaxing and chilling ride, but a bonus nips at his speed when actually showing Cross-Country. The handsome stallion came to us not long ago, just two years ago, and had pretty good know-ledge; which was great, we just had to school him a bit more and that was it - he's now ready for a student. He is paired up with Alaska Marie Lassack.


Sunshine Cracker
Sunshine is a sporty light bay Warmblood X Campolina, at 15.1 hands. She may be near her elder years at 15 years old now, but has as much energy as a little filly - thus she does eventing with Amber Glass. She has mastered all three powerful sports - Show Jumping, Dressage and Cross-Country all together, and normally competes when Amber competes. Sunshine came to us with little knowledge of riding, at the age of 4 years old - she was raised on a farm that didn't have enough to train her. But soon we got her into shape and now she runs at the speed of lighting; she's the one mare that loves her job. She is paired up with Parker West Hanson.


Star Dreamer
Star is another Warmblood X, but she's crossed with a Henson, hence her slight head and body shape. She's a chestnut standing at 15.2 hands and is dancing for Dressage at 11 years old. She has a swift figure so her moves and paces are pretty soft and smooth. She's also been one of our newest additions, she came to us a few months before Cherry Wine but is making the most successful progress at Pine Lodge - she's very friendly and loves having a treat or a cuddle. She is paired up with Valerie Minett Lalonde.


Wave Breaker
Last but not least, our own strong and tough Wave Breaker - a chestnut French Anglo-Arab at 16 hands and 12 years old. He came to us a few years ago at the age of 5 years old as a spoiled brat; he wouldn't do anything without getting some sort of reward. But now he's as good as gold and a friendly beast - he may be a bit lazy at Cross-Country but once he sees a jump, he goes insane for it, willing to take the dare. He is paired up with Dakota Cody Letters.


Trickster
This young Haflinger is the Summers' sisters companion - he stands at 14 hands and is only a colt at the ages of 2 years old. He isn't used for riding, he's just a companion, that literally follows either of the two sisters around the yard. Usually the young joker is seen wearing a cute little red, white and blue top-hat, and sometimes Ani or Skye organize a little trick-show on special occasions, with Trickster doing various tricks and funny small pranks.

Personality Skye is the most out-going, confident, and brave girl you will ever meet; she's like an angel taking it too far! She's always got that one merry smile on her face, cheering up others and never fading away. Most people, though, think she's a weird, utterly-out-of-her-mind person. But in fact, no she's not - she just has her own world, her own imagination, her own creativity. Not forgetting to mention, despite her wondrous looks, she's a friendly one, always up for a tight challenge or prepared for a laughing fit - Skye just never stops making friends. One thing that also makes Skye herself is how she doesn't care about herself; she'd rather jump off a bridge than leave a horse. Her heart only can be described within five words, no more - "Live, laugh, and love horses!"
History Skye and Ani were born as non-identical twin sisters, Ani being the older one. Surprisingly, Skye was born with bright red flaring hair and crystal-clear blue eyes, un-like her sister, who had natural dark brown hair and normal dark brown eyes. None of the twin's relatives had bright red hair or light blue eyes - only blondes, brunettes, brown-coloured and green-coloured eyes existed in their family tree. Luckily, all that mattered was that she survived with such features.
As they were growing at the age of four, the Summers family moved from the city and into the beautiful, fresh country-side. They owned a three bedroom house in the style of an over-scaled cottage, with a small barn fit enough for six horses. So they bought three ponies, and three horses. Their mother was a horse trainer; and off the twins set off with their life as equestrians. They got home-schooled, and each day, they would have an hour or two of riding lessons - and so that's when the Pine Lodge career started.
Skye and Ani were now around 12 years of age, already entering advanced and experienced Show Jumping competitions. Both were making their way towards success - they had already secretly planned out their dream: to own an equestrian academy and rule it. They never told their parents 'til they left for college - and their family haven't seem the two since then.

Ahe is also a dare devil too though, she loves to pull pranks and sneak off by when no one's looking. But all this changes when she's in the saddle, in the saddle she seems to shut out the whole world and just focus on the horse and arena or trail.

Personality Luke is a "good guy", he'd do anything to please his girl, or get a girl he likes. He loves to compete and tends to do it very often. If you catch him around friends, then you'd see how different he acts. He tends to just mess around most times you'd see him though.
History Born in the middle of the night, he grew up in a small neighborhood in Florida. He never had gone near a horse until he was 12, he realized how fun it was when his parents took him to a small ranch and got him on a short ride. He then decided that he wanted to be a rider and asked his parents. They allowed him to ride when they realized how devoted he was to this. So, he started lessons, deciding he loved jumping, but cross country seemed even better to him. He then was invited here.
