Switching to the dandy brush, Elizabeth flicked the dirt off with the brush in sweeping strokes. "He's beautiful." She said mildly, looking over at the Akhal Teke. The redhead put her hand on the mare's rump and walked around, starting on the other side with the dandy brush. "I rode at a stables near my moderate-sized town. It was pretty well-known, not huge, but it wasn't too small,
either." Elizabeth looked to the floor. This girl had probably come from a huge, sprawling barn. Like everyone else here. "Mainly I learned from the other riders there, and from the owner of the barn." Staring at the ground, a bad feeling was in the pit of her stomach. "For two years, though, I got to take lessons from previous Olympic rider who climbed the ranks in shows all her life until finally making it to the Olympics. Now she was traveling around England, her home country, giving lessons. I lived in her home town so she spent the most time there. It was wonderful - she gave me so much knowledge and experiences that I never would have tried on my own." Elizabeth felt a little better about saying this part - she did learn from an Olympic rider. But, still, maybe it would always seem like nothing compared to what Farah had to say. "You?" Elizabeth asked with a quivering voice. She had groomed Lorelei's mane,
managed to pick her hooves despite the mare's impatient pawing, and now she lifted the saddle and fitted just right on her back.

Amos chuckled as he listened to Tyler talk about how he wanted to try the different disciplines. He had no problem with the other male giving barrel racing a shot; he just hoped that Tyler knew he needed training for cutting. You couldn't just ride in and expect to know what to do. That was asking to get hurt. His attention was brought back to reality when they neared the gate. He dipped his head to Tyler when they opened it and he nudged Moon through the entrance. He had taught Moon long ago how to react and help open a gate without Amos having to dismount; he was fine letting someone else do it but he would do it when they returned to the stables.
Once Tyler asked where he wanted to go, Amos took a moment to look over everything. He looked up towards the mountains then down at the forest. "
Let's do the forest and head towards the river. I think that'll keep us occupied for a while. Maybe we can do the mountain another time. What do you think, Moon?" Amos asked, looking down at the stallion. Moon tossed his head, nodding in agreement and pawing the ground eagerly. "
Alright, forest it is then. You good with that Tyler?" Amos asked, holding Moon back as the stallion danced a little in place, eager to get going.

{ tags; elijah }As they pulled up the driveway to their new home for both them and their horses, Graysen looked out over the pastures and arenas and then let her eyes fall on the beautiful barn. Much more classy and pretty than anything that they'd ever been in before.
"Hey," she began and turned to speak to her brother, "do you think we'll be the only rodeo brats here? I mean, this looks like a pretty uppity place, not really a place you'd find many of us." She said quietly and looked at her brother. Elijah, who was more concerned with keeping attention on slowly pulling their
truck and
trailer safely up the driveway, grunted at her and shrugged his shoulders. When Elijah slowed to a stop near the barn and put the truck in park, Graysen jumped out of the truck and walked quickly back to the man door of the trailer. When she swung the door open she was greeted by the friendly, excited nickering of their four horses. "Hey babies,"
She said in a happy high pitched tone. She stepped back to look around for her brother, then when she spotted him she called over, "We should find somebody who knows where to go and what to do."

{ tags; graysen }At Graysen's idea to look for help, Elijah gave a quick nod, "Yeah probably," he agreed. He turned to look at the big barn and then gave a nod toward it, "I'd assume that's probably a good place to start looking." Before waiting for a reply from his sister he began walking toward the barn. Hurried footsteps could be heard behind him as his sister jogged to catch up, then her voice right beside him, "Eli," she said more quietly this time, "what if we're the only rodeo people, what if nobody likes us becau-"
He waved his hand at her to silence her. "Would you relax? You're acting like a 4 year old on their first day of kindergarten."
Elijah said in a sort of disgusted voice. He expected more of his sister. They were raised tough, and now suddenly as soon as they're away from a rodeo dominated barn she was acting like a pansy. Once he stepped in the barn, he called down the isle,
"Hello?" Elijah stood and looked around while his sister slowly wandered down the isle, peering into the first stall on the right.
