Alex, somewhat shocked by the move, slowly patted her back. He was definitely shocked by the scars but hid the emotion, not wanting to offend her. Slowly and gingerly, he rubbed her back, speaking softly. "No, it isn't." He took a moment to think before looking down at Sophie. "I care." He finally said. Having experience with his crying sister, his brace turned into a hug and he rocked slightly.
