Kazill Smith | 23 | Tagging: Nova, Emma

Kaz nodded. His dark eyes shifted towards Emma, and with a moment of silence, and the other groups already beginning to take their guesses, he figured it hurt nobody if he took the first turn. So he leaned back in his beanbag chair, grinning. "Okay, let’s play some Two Truths and a Lie!" He cheered, and proceeded to sort through memories and skills and experiences, trying to find something plausible for all of them. It made the game more interesting if it wasn’t obvious. "I’ll go first. 1. Raised by my uncle. 2. Can make apple pie without a recipe. 3. Used to do magic tricks. Any guesses?"

Luciano DeLuca | 26 | Tagging: Aaron, Morgan

Luciano acknowledged Aaron's words with a small smile, just from the corner of his lip. When the numbers were revealed, he nodded. He’d known that one would be pretty obvious, but that was alright. Maybe he should’ve gone with something more subtle, but he didn’t mind. It was a game for fun! To get to know each other, not to try to manipulate and fool each other, after all. In his opinion, anyway, but one could play the game a variety of different ways.

"Indeed. I do have a quite refined palate, or so I’ve been told, but it’s not so easy to get in as a judge on a TV show." Luciano gestured towards Morgan once he’d finished. "Your turn next if you will, miss Morgan." There were so many facts and skills to choose from, and he was looking forward to uncovering fun facts and quirks of his housemates overtime. "Tell us something interesting, I’m curious."

Kassandra DeMarks | 23 | Tagging: Jessika, Devin

"I will if you won’t," Kass said. She wasn’t shy of putting herself out there. Eager, in fact. She was willing to flaunt facts about herself if that was what the game demanded! She sank down into one of the beanbag chairs and laced her fingers together in front of her, resting over hands on her knee. "However, if it was a question simply to be polite and you’d rather take the first turn, by all means go ahead," she prompted. She’d be fine either way.

Even though Morgan wasn't an expert when it came to reading other people's facial expressions, based on the way Luciano barely even stirred upon skimming over the boards both she and Aaron had just held up, she took he wasn't overly surprised by the responses. That said, it was a challenge to figure out if that was because he expected them to get it right, or because he expected them to get it wrong. She suspected she and Aaron both answered with the same response, which was the second one. At first, she was worried she had gotten it wrong. He's good. His face didn't reveal anything, and it wasn't until he gave a small nod of his head that she felt she could breathe. "Yeah!" she cheered out, her voice quiver-like, for she had spoken whilst attempting to bite back a small laugh. Leaning forward, she held up her hand for Aaron to high-five. She returned to her normal position a second or two later, her eyes wide with excitement. "That was kind of hard!" she continued, somewhat breathlessly. "It definitely took me a second."

She tucked back a small strand of hair that was dangling in front of her left eye, then turned her attention so that it was solely on Luciano. "You can cook?" she echoed, as if that was beyond impressive. For someone who wasn't great at cooking, though, it kind of was. "Can you make us something sometime? If you're into that," she added quickly, in case that was too pushy.

She settled back down as the game shifted its focus onto her. Cracking a smile at the "Miss Morgan", enjoying the way it smoothly rolled together, she let herself concentrate so that she could come up with something. "I feel like I'm an open book," she mused, but still proceeded to give off three different lines: "Okay... First: I attended Oxford University for my schooling. Second: I suffer from thalassophobia, which is basically a fear of deep water. And third: I went on a whale-sighting trip with my family when I was younger and the boat broke down. We were stuck for hours." She sat back on the heels of her shoes and smiled up at the both of them. "And there you are!"

Brenna Reese Williams/female/21 years old/Tags: Morgan to her group (Sage, Briar)/Location: Outside of house/Pansexual
She waved to Morgan as a goodbye before quickly heading over to her group. She could get glances of the other people going to their group, but could she tell you what each blob of color of hair in her peripheral vision was, absolutely not. Brenna smiled warmly as she made it to her group. As the young woman listened to one of the male’s speak, he introduced himself as Briar. She smiled and noticed his features. He seemed to be a few inches taller than herself and he had blonde hair. His hazel eyes seemed to be mysterious to young Brenna and she couldn’t help but wonder what he was thinking. Before Brenna could take the hand of Briar and shake it, the other male talked introducing himself as Sage. She turned to him and made a mental note to herself to take Briar’s hand and shake it. Sage had brown hair going down to brush his shoulders. Her eyes grew bright as she noticed the shorter young man had green eyes like her and could see little golden flecks like her eyes within his green eyes. She had a hunch that people might think that she was Sage’s sister, but nope. Her brother was the faded brown haired tufted male today with the blue/gray eyes.

When Sage had finished, she smiled and turned back to Briar taking his hand and she said, “Very nice to meet you both. I’m Brenna and I don’t think it seems fitting to share my middle name or last name yet if we're going to be playing a game of two truths and a lie.” She laughed at Briar’s comment about letting their deepest darkest secrets to the world. She said, giving Briar a wink, “I’d be delighted to let the world know about my own darkest secrets.” She glanced over to her brother. Looks like he had gotten quite a group there. She returned her focus to her own group and said with her eyes sparkling, “Alright, which one of us is feeling brave and wants to go first. . Back when she was in college before she came here her dorm room buddies, Hannah and Basil, used to play this all the time in the beginning to get to know each other. A wave of sadness crawled into her as she thought of her dorm room buddies, but she was in a better place, somewhere that she would be able to find someone (hopefully) to spend with forever. Well hopefully forever. As much as she wanted to go back to college and finish her degree, she knew these games would be for the best. Besides she liked to meet new people and why wouldn’t she miss the opportunity to meet new people and do something interesting in her life.

Luciano DeLuca | 26 | Tagging: Aaron, Morgan

Luciano nodded again. Admittedly, her reaction was somewhat amusing, and it almost made him smile. As it was, it brought a faint sparkle to his eye. "Of course. I believe we're in charge of our own meals here, so what if I make lunch once the day's event is done, prove my cooking worth?" His tone was lighthearted, but really, he did enjoy being in the kitchen! It was a calming atmosphere, he’d always found, and it kept him busy, always something to do with his hands.

Luciano studied Morgan, watching her facial and body language when she spoke, trying to use that to aid him in pinpointing the lie. Of course there was rarely any harm done if a guess was incorrect, but even so, he’d like to at least try. So he write a neat #3 down and glanced over at Aaron, waiting on his response.

𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐑 𝐌Ä𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐍
─────────────────────────── . 25 . he/him . loc; backyard . tags; brenna, sage───────────────────────────

Out of the two of them, the boy was the first to approach, which Briar found somewhat ironic, since he had the smaller set of legs out of the both of them. Right off the bat, Briar could sense the awkwardness he ─ Sage, his name was ─ brought along with him. He supposed that was fair; not everyone could enter a game like this with such a high level of confidence. Personally, Briar felt he had nothing to lose, but maybe this guy was nervous to come up with some facts about himself. It was hard to tell. “Sage,” he echoed with the slightest bob of his head. “Just Sage. I can manage that. It’s nice to meet you, Just Sage.” A teasingly boyish grin split across his features at that last nickname-like comment, as if it was wickedly funny, but he wasn’t able to dwell on it too much, for their final group member approached them.

While Briar had acknowledged the fact that Sage didn’t return his handshake, it wasn’t until the girl actually took his hand that it really sunk into mind. Maybe he’s a germaphobe. The one who introduced herself as Brenna certainly stood out from the two of them, which was very likely because of her bold nature and loud voice, amongst other things. Confident-loud, though. Briar was immediately roped in, and he leaned closer to her, eyes focused intently on her person, as if Sage wasn’t even there. She was quite pretty, with delicate features and a sparkle in her jade-green eyes. She was someone who most certainly would find a way to turn even the most boring conversations into something of much more excitement.

“Keeping us on our toes, I like it,” he voiced with an approving nod of his head, shooting her a lopsided smile. “The world’s not ready for you, Brenna. Blow us all away.” He reached over and patted the last available beanbag, only brushing it with the tips of his fingers, given the distance between his own chair and the one he was motioning towards. “Come take a seat. Join us, shall you?”

He noticed her attention was snagged momentarily, and Briar took that moment to shoot a world record glance in Sage’s direction ─ long enough to acknowledge his presence once more. “I can go,” he offered, although based on the way he spoke those words, it was evident that he wasn’t going to not go, now that he said something. “Alright, let’s see…” He rubbed his hands together in anticipation, then gave a solo nod of his head once he came up with some things to say. “First: I almost qualified for the Olympics for skiing. Second: I don't like dogs. And third: I was voted valedictorian for high school. Take a wild guess, my friends. You’ve got a one in third chance of getting it right. May the odds be ever in your favour.”

Nova's eyes followed Kaz as he sat down and got himself comfortable, an exasperated look on her face. She was only now realising that this game was all to easy for her because they had known each other for quite some time and she would very quickly grow bored but besides that she would do her best to give it a good go. She leaned forward, her elbows firmly planted on her knees so that she could study him closely. She silently began tapping into her memories of him, making sure that she was ready for the guessing.

This time however she was quite a bit stumped. "I'm guessing it was the one about your uncle? Although in saying that I've tried your apple pie and it is impossibly good" she answered quickly before turning to look at Emma. "What are you thinking?" she asked curiously.

Aaron silently chuckled at Morgan’s playful nature, he found her ‘I see you gesture’ to be quite cute. It also helped him to relax a bit. Neither Luciano or Morgan exactly gave him any impression to be nervous but as per usual he was always in his own head. He didn’t want to make a fool of himself, especially in front of someone he could potentially be interested in. He couldn’t help but follow the cap of the marker when it flew off. It was within reaching distance but before he could move to hand it back to Morgan she scooped it up lickty split. He kept a satisfied grin on his face as the game continued on.

He was excited to get to know some facts about each of them and of course, share some about himself. He couldn’t help but smile when Luciano revealed the lie. It was a lucky guess on his part but him and Morgan shared the same thought. Being a judge definitely seemed like a daunting task, especially a culinary judge. Aaron had seen the food network and sometimes they could be ruthless or maybe that was just Gordon Ramsey and Robert Irvine. He was glad that he didn’t take up cooking as a profession. He returned Morgan’s high five and used his sleeve to erase what he had written down on the whiteboard; he hoped that he wouldn’t have to go next. Despite Luciano giving him a good example of what to say he still had no clue what to share.
When cooking was brought up it made him wonder how meals would work in the house, he was sure it was mentioned somewhere but it had slipped his mind. “Do you know if we’ll have to cook for ourselves or if food will be provided?” He asked.

Aaron sat up straighter when Luciano passed his turn to Morgan, he silently thanked the man once more and turned his attention to her. Oxford… Fear of deep water… or whale watching? Whale watching and fear of deep water seemed to contradict itself. Could she have done it on purpose? He didn’t know but he was afraid to mark down Oxford as a lie, Aaron didn’t want it to come off like he was insulting her smarts or anything. He tapped his marker against the whiteboard and hummed, he was contemplating his choice seriously. To remain on the safe side, he once again wrote down a 2 and flipped his whiteboard around to show his answer. Whether it was right or wrong, he didn’t care all too much. It was nice getting to know some new people.

Jessikka Roberts- f- 22 y- pan; Kass and Briar maybe, definitely Luciano eventually- dad x mom: 4 siblings- Shepadoodle service dog Mayu- volunteers at animal rescue- allergies: cats, Penicillin, Amoxicillin, Bactrim, eggs- skills: animal attraction, kids like her, singing, art, writing, swimming, running (but has problem with chest)- Tags: Kass and Devin

Jess glanced to the boy a moment, wondering if he wanted to go first. She then shook her head, and glanced to the other girl. She nodded and said "I...was just being polite. I guess I'll go first," she said, as she finally sat on one of the chairs. "Okay...one, I'm terrible at math and it was one of my least favorite subjects in school. Two, I have an allergy to eggs. Three, I've been to Japan. Go ahead and write your guesses," she said when she was done, and the lie was the last one though she did plan to go next year. She'd meant to go this year actually. If they were really here a year, it'd have to wait then.

Sage Ether Reems- m- 20y- homo; possibly Devin- dad x mom: twin sister, younger sister and brother- law and medical majors- allergies: peanut butter, bee stings- special skills: swimming, running, animal attraction, tree climbing- cat Maggi at home- Tags: group (Briar and Brenna)

He tilted his head as he noticed the way her eyes grew bright as she looked at him. He wondered if it was because they both had green eyes. He then shook his head a couple times. He wondered if this was the sister Devin had been speaking of. He wanted to ask, but then realized she might use that as one of her truths. Therefore, he kept his mouth shut there. He smiled and said "Nice to meet you both as well." He then realized he'd forgotten to shake Briar's hand...Briar was already going to sit down, though. He didn't seem all that upset about it, so Sage just let it go now. He hummed a small sound, and nodded to the others. He couldn't help but follow Brenna's eyes, when she looked over to Devin and his group. Still, he said nothing on it. He nearly rolled his eyes when Briar called him Just Sage. "Okay...Briar," he said, then glanced between the two. Brenna asked who wanted to go first but didn't seem to be volunteering herself. He sat down after the other two did. He made a small sound as Briar then volunteered himself as tribute, basically.

He nodded to the other boy, then grabbed a board and marker. He quieted down his already soft humming, so he could listen. He nodded to himself, then wrote down the number two. He wasn't really confident about that one... because not everyone like animals. Especially not dogs and horses, since many were big. They could be intimidating and such. Still, he stuck with his answer, and watched Brenna. He was waiting for her, so they could both show their boards.

Emma made herself comfortable in the beanbag as the two of them introduced themselves, “it’s nice to meet the both of you!” She replied. Emma definitely took comfort literally, she was more laying down in the beanbag rather than sitting, if she was going to be around these people for the year then it would probably be best for them to get acquainted with her quirks. Her sleep schedule might have been awful but she loved to lie down, it was relaxing to say the least. “I still gotta come up with something so if you wanna go first, go ahead.” She said and tilted her head to look up. Emma reached to the side and grabbed the whiteboard and rested it on her stomach as she listened to Kaz’s words. She barely knew the guy so anything could be the truth or a lie.

She held the white board up with one arm as she lazily wrote down a guess, she honestly could not be bothered to put in the effort to logically come up with a guess, besides the game was fun. She would decide on whatever he said about the magic tricks. Emma wasn’t all that competitive, she knew how unmotivated she could be, her friends definitely made that fact known whenever they tried to get her to do something that required physical activity. Odd for an ex-track runner but she is quite glad that she had given up that life, she never found it to be enjoyable. Running is gross after all. When Nova asked what her thoughts were she shrugged and lifted herself up a bit to look at the two better, “You two know each other? I was just gonna say the magic trick thing but…” Her voice trailed for a moment. “I might have to change my answer to whatever Nova’s saying.” She teased.

Even if she got it wrong, the truth would be revealed soon anyway, that’s the greatest part about two truths and a lie, you get to find out the real answer. Though Emma couldn’t tell you if it would help you in life in the long run, it was an extra tidbit to know about a potential new friend. Plus, they had plenty of time to learn the more juicy and interesting things about each other later. That was the fun of the show after all. The relationships forming, the drama, and whatever else would come as the days went on.

𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐍 𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐀
─────────────────────────── . 22 . she/her . loc; backyard tags; luciano, aaron───────────────────────────

Within a split second, Morgan’s smile vanished, and she turned her head from one to another with an astounded-like look across her face. “What?” she echoed, her tone turning squeaky near the end. “They have all this money and we’re responsible for our own meals?” She didn’t intend on it sounding selfish or ungrateful, but this entire time, she’d simply believed that there were people there to make their meals. Everyone on television always looked like they were eating the same thing. Then again, how often did they show people eating? “I hope they have fire extinguishers,” she continued, somewhat to herself. “I'm the lat person anyone would want to be in the kitchen.”

Thankfully, Aaron seemed to be wondering the same thing as Morgan, which made her pause. Automatically, she’d assumed they’d be on their own, given what Luciano said, but maybe it was just for today? Maybe the host ─ Ballyhoo ─ would have an answer. Or maybe not. She kind of got the impression he was just as far behind as she typically found herself to be.

Quieting down, Morgan allowed her two group members to ponder over what was revealed to them. Within seconds, two whiteboards were flipped in her direction. A grin split across her face, and her hands threw up over her head in oozing victory. “Yes!” she cheered, although her tone was soft, as if it was more so a breath of relief than an exclamation. “Wrong and wrong. It's actually the first one. I am definitely not smart enough to get into Oxford. I went to Birmingham, which is also in the UK. So I mean, not too far off? The whole water thing... One caused the other. You know?” A small giggle, somewhat nervous-like, escaped her lips as she thought back to the whale-sighting trip. “I'd always suspected I was kind of nervous about being out on the water because it's straight-up terrifying, how little anyone knows about the ocean and all that, but it was actually that incident that had pushed me over the edge. And the worst part was that we didn't even see any whales. I've only gone to the beach once since, and that was to tan with a few of my friends.” Morgan scrunched up her nose, practically sensing the shakes in her body — the ones that helped spark what she suspected nowadays was a panic attack. “Anyway! I survived and now I know to never get on a boat again.” The tips of her fingers tapped together, then she rested her chin on her hands and leaned towards Aaron. “Your turn. Take it away.”
