The sudden appearance of the girl made him jump slightly which set the mare off even more "Sparrow, stand up." he repeated but tried in a softer tone which the mare seemed to appreciate and began to calm herself down beside the much smaller Quarter horse gelding. "Oh..um hi." his voice carried an unsure nature to it as he glanced over at the girl in an attempt to be polite whilst keeping his attention on his horses, specifically the big mare to his right.

She looked at the horses, "They are beautiful." She smiled before holding her hand for a handshake, "I'm Rosalia." She said before looking at the extremely large black dapple stallion, "That's Grimm, don't mind him though. He might be loud but he is really nice."

Grimm snorted at the boy and the 2 other horses before bolting to the back of the paddock and galloping in circles

A small smile came over his face when she complimented his horses, they were really his pride and joy "Thanks, nice to meet you Rosalia." he replied gently and shook her hand "I'm Fletcher." he introduced himself shortly afterwards. After the much needed introductions his gaze followed hers as she mentioned her stallion, he was a nice looking beast but heavy set horses weren't his specific favourite but he couldn't deny the obvious "He's a nice looking animal." the young man complimented then turned to his own horses "The big mare is Sparrow and the gelding is Roman."

She smiled, "He is my pride. I couldn't think to live without him. He is a blue ribbon draft in my home town." She spoke watching him, "Where are you from?" She asked curiously

Grimm trotted over to the fence and looked at the other equines. Perking his ears, he gave a low snort in greeting

Listening as she spoke, it was obvious that she shared the same, if not stronger love for her horses that he did with his own "I know what you mean, I've got through some pretty rough times with Roman and I don't think I could have done this without him." Fletcher replied, hoping that she wouldn't pry into his private life as some people did. The next question made him pause for a moment, he could answer this question a number of ways "I'm from a small rural town in New South Wales. So i'm an Aussie boy born and bred." he replied and paused for a moment before returning the question "And you?"

"I'm from a small town in Georgia called Barnesville." She smiled at him. "Lived there all my life. This is my second time here and away from home." Rosalia said

Grimm made another attempt to get the horses attention and made a louder snort

Fletcher gave a small nod in response to her answer "I lived on a cattle station, you would call it a ranch, my whole life but I don't plan on going back anytime soon." he explained as he began to walk forward, hoping she would continue talking to him whilst he got the horses situated. "What's it like? Being here I mean." he asked out of curiosity as he headed for the stables.

"Well, for the most part its quiet and relaxing with a millions places to go to peace and quiet or even just to ride." She watched him, "Most of the people are friendly and willing to help if you need it." She followed him, "Thought the nearest town is about 20 miles out, there's no shortage on fun here."
