Rose walked with Skye and nodded along, turning to veiw everyone and everything. She loved the first few days back in school, everyone had new things, new looks, new friends... But then, it would always just settle into the same rhythm of dragging herself out of bed and getting things done, dragging herself through school before getting to go home and be free. Her favorite time of the day since she got to work with the horses.
Seems everyone was up to their usual antics, though she needed to speak with Mathew. He had cone to do yard work around their farm a few times last summer, like helping with the hay and mowing the lawn- and her mother was going to be gone for a few weeks, and needed Mathew to mow the lawn again if he would.
Rose was snapped back to reality when Skye rushed forward, yelling, and found herself right in the front of a growing crowd. She locked onto the scene in front of her- three seniors, two about ready to brawl, two unneeded and probably should have stayed out of it.
"Guys... Come on," she said with a sigh, shifting her bag higher onto her shoulder and shifting her weight to one foot. "We haven't even been in school for ten minutes... And we need to go." Of course, no one heard her or anything, so she just rolled her eyes, prepared to have to drag Skye out of it if needed, or slip away and find Mathew if he decided to show up. She looked a bit lonely and off to the side, since she didn't really enjoy a fight. She actually thought they were quite stupid and immature.

[ if that's okay with you about Mathew Pie. I just had a good idea at school about it xP since Mathew's participating in the games anyway.

Jace actually considered biting the boy when he touched him, though that would not have been a fiat fight, and would have ended up making a fool of himself, but still... It was tempting.
Instead, his hand shot up, clamping on to the boys wrist and pushed his hand back, rather roughly. "Don't touch me," he ground out through clenched teeth. This fight had turned into a thing of pride, for he supposed both of them. He wasn't going to back down, and he figured it would end up in a real fight, now or after school. This kid got on his nerves anyway, and he had no qualms about fighting on the first day- any day really.

Brought out of his thoughts by a sneering girls voice, he turned only his head a small bit to see Liddy. "This fight would have started any day, now why don't you go back to your own business, and mind your own," he snapped right back, anger smoldering in his eyes. "It's how he ended up in this situation in the first place." He fixed her with a glare, and thought about how lucky some people he only fought fair, and wouldn't hit a girl. He had enough of that sort of thing at home, and there was no way he was following in his fathers footsteps.

Practically attacked from behind, Jules shoved them off easily. It took Him a moment to figure out who it was, and he wasn't happy when he realized who it was. "You hit Me and I'll have a right to hit you, and you're d*mn lucky I don't hit girls at that point," Jules said, his eyes holding a dangerous glint. He couldn't hit her, but he could still prevent her from hitting him, and he highly doubted she could get him anywhere near the floor, only making a fool of herself if she tried. But whatever, let her do that. Her comment about her comment about his home life. No one here knew anything close to how bad it was, and true, there probably were worse lives, but no one said stuff like that. It caused his anger to flare until he thought he'd punch someone soon if they didn't all leave soon, and he had to clench his hand at his side to keep from Punching her. "Oh really? This fight would have happened no matter how perfect my life was, he deserved it. Maybe he should've minded his own business," he snapped, glowering. "And who cares? I'll get in trouble sooner or later by the headmaster, why not now?" He gave a devilish little smirk, but it didn't go anywhere near his eyes.

[ I think Jace shouldn't be up against all three all alone 3: He's not all bad xP He did kind of start it though...
Oh, btw Swallow, you sort of switch from 3rd to 1st person while you're writing, could you try and keep it all one? ]

Nathan blinked once in surprise before slapping on his cheeky smirk once more. He was thinking about saying something but instead he shook out his wrist from Jace's grip without a word. Sometimes not saying anything was more infuriating than saying something back. Still, he could tell that this was going to precipitate into something a bit more serious. Well, at least his first few weeks were going to be interesting. Not that he would waste time worrying about what useless prank Jace might do. It was his senior year. He didn't give a f*** about high school, anymore.

Was everyone coming to this fight? Nathan grinned, widening his smirk, as Lidia approached. His tone took a bitingly condescending as he said, "Of course I'm looking for attention, my dear. Although I was hoping for something more substantial than you," Nathan added, raising an eyebrow. He was somewhat annoyed at the tone she had taken. For one thing, this wasn't her fight, and for another she wasn't anyone's mother. It wasn't her job to butt in and interrupt such a wonderful argument. And, for another, she forced him to agree with Jace's comment about minding her own business.

And then Skylar struts in, which only was icing on the cake. Nathan watched in some amazement as she literally attacked Jace and then told him off in front of the entire student body. And the best part was that Nathan was now on the victimized side. That was the best side to be. Thank you, Skylar! He looked on in extreme amusement as Skylar and Jace got into an argument, and as she walked back towards Rose Nathan burst into laughter. "Dear Lord, did you get told!" he exclaimed to Jace, chuckling and leaning against the lockers to support himself. Jace's indignant face was just too much to bear. It was all to comedic.

"Well," Nathan continued, "I'd be more than happy to listen to you talk about how pretty I am for a while longer, but we have school to get to." Nathan straightened and gave Jace a genial wave, this time brushing past him and joining the now thin trickle of students going to the speech. "It was nice talking to you, dear."
