Jack turned around quickly when he heard shouting behind him, and gasped when he saw Emerald being thrown to the floor by the man. Completely forgetting that he was supposed to be scrubbing the deck, he stood up and rushed a bit closer to them, his brain working away at an idea which had just occurred to him. Glancing around, Jack realized that neither Alsan or any other of the guards were on deck, and that the door to the slave trader´s room was shut firmly.
"Alina, wait!" he said not too loudly, grabbing her by the arm before she could move a step further. "See that door? Hold it shut. Whatever you do, don´t let him get out" Jack then moved on and said the same thing to Dalia and several other slaves. Hopefully, if his plan worked, they would be able to corner Alsan in that one room, and all they would have to do would be to defeat the man who was now grabbing Emerald. A mutiny. He thought with a smirk. He had no weapons, but, grabbing a long stick that was leaning against the mast, he moved behind the man, who didn´t seem to notice his presence. Taking aim, Jack hit him on the head as hard as he could, and the man turned around, seeming slightly dazed, but nonetheless angry as he tried to grab him, only to be pushed away again. However, Jack had completely forgotten about his wounded shoulder, and groaned when he felt a sharp pain running through it.
"Emerald, we need to pin him down!" he shouted, dodging out of the way as a blow came towards him. Luckily, the brute hadn´t noticed all the slaves who were guarding Alsan´s door, but he would soon, and Jack dreaded to think what would happen if they failed. Perhaps this plan hadn´t been such a good idea after all.
