What if for the arena we did a water ring, then have the cornucopia on a sand island in the middle, then every hour or so, it changes (it being the area outside the water ring) so like it might start as utter darkness, then move to a mutt hour.)

Like that. Yellow= cornucopia blue= water ring green= 'fear zone' and black dots are kinda where the tribute start things go.
