Lol, looking at Liddy's personality, I could almost see her and Jace being one of those couples who fight Absolutely all the time, but liking each other so much neither can stand to not be around the other xD lol ]

To his shame his grin disappeared for a moment when Jace freaking slammed him into a locker. Dear Lord, how high school of the guy. Nathan rolled his shoulders and rolled his eyes simultaneously. Apparently Jace's infamous anger issues weren't faked.

"Well, sweetheart, I do indeed believe myself smart. For example, I know better than to punch a guy in the face on the first day of school." Nathan looked back at Jace, ignoring the other students that were pausing to stare at the first fight of the year. Still others--more like upperclassmen--were on their way, already seen to many of these sorts of things to be interested anymore.

"But I'm flattered, Jace dearest," Nathan grinned savagely. "I had no idea you thought my face beautiful. But just so we're clear: I'm straight."

The tall, dark haired boy wasn't thrown.
He only sneered in reply, snorting a laugh. "Well, for your information, I'm not. I like a little bit of everything," he said with a dark chuckle. Quite a few people knew he wasn't straight, though he did tend to like girls a bit more. He had to curl his hand at his side, clenching it there so he didn't take a swing at the boy right then and there. You could just feel the agitation radiating off of him, though few knew why. Of course, the night before hadn't helped, but he had woken up to his father drunken and high, screaming and hollering at Jace and his sister, and he now had a bruise to sport from his attempts at shielding her from the monster he called father. His mother hadnt even bothered to be home, though she was probably passed out in some other man's bed, sleeping off her drunken haze, trying to piece together where she was and what had happened.

"Faa-aa-aascinating," Nathan drew out into Jace's angered face, nodded animatedly and striking a mocking and overly cheery grin, his eyes sarcastically widened. "Well, once more, I'm flattered Jace dearest, but if you'll excuse me, I really can't stay." Nathan impishly swatted Jace's cheek twice with a hand and made to slip past him, keeping one eye on his clenched fist.
