Daniel - I gently stroke her cheek with my thumb. I use my other hand to brush aside the fallen strands of her hair and then lean close to her again, my lips brushing against her earlobe. I kiss her earlobe gently and then look back into Carter's eyes. I take a deep breath, to calm both me and her and then I lean in to kiss her, the way I had done once in a dream I had had about her. All of my pent up emotions flow into the kiss with a passionate fire that I have never felt before.

Carter let him stroke her cheek and brush her dirty blonde hair. She felt his lips touch her earlobe, she looked into his eyes with her bright, sapphire blue eyes that held tears. She watched him inhale deeply, looking like it had to calm both of them down; but it was hard for her to calm down. She then watched him lean forward and kiss her. She closed her eyes, and kissed him back. She got butterflies in her stomach when his happened. She figured it was a good thing, so she never did anything to stop the feeling. She couldn't believe this was happening, but it seemed right to her. She had thought of Daniel as her brother when she was younger, but now. It just wasn't possible to think of him like that anymore.

Daniel - I feel Carter kiss me back and everything feels like it has clicked into place. I forget about my problems with Faith and I forget all about whatever was between her and Jay and all i can think about is her. The feeling of her lips against mine, the way we seem to slow down time, the way the world around us seems to fade away. I place one hand on her back to keep her close. I cant believe I ever treated her or acted like she was my little sister. No she is something more than that to me.

Jansen - I pace angrily in my room, hating myself, hating my father, hating those guards, hating almost everyone except for Carter. Because of me and my lies, I hurt her. She ran away. She probably hates me. I hit my fist against the concrete wall as I stop pacing. This is all my fault. I feel like I should let her go, let her go find a guy who won't hurt her like I have, someone she knows she can trust, but I can't just give up on her after all we have been through, after the way we both loved each other. I just wish things like this were easy.

She was probably going to stay in one of the extra bedrooms, and work on things for the rebels, because she didn't want to be alone because she wasn't allowed in the Strong fiction. So here was all she had left. She felt the butterflies flutter around in her stomach. She didn't have anything on her mind, but Daniel.
