"Why's that?" Damon asked with obvious amusement while washing his hands carefully. Wincing slightly when the soap hit his scrape.

"Because my aunt died of infection and all she did was cut her hand." Charlie says,

Damon's face turned soft." Charlie.." He voiced feeling sympathy for the boy. "I'm sorry.." He said as he finished up and gave him a hug.

Charlie stood rigid, he hated his past. He hated how many funerals there were and how only the rotten fruit of his family survived. His aunt had taught him how to love other people, to tolerate his parents and protect his sister. He'd been close with many of his aunts and uncles and grandparents, and of them all only his parents were left. He couldn't bare another black clothed funeral, not when the only tears shed were false ones and the only reason they came was to get a look at their will. His parents never got anything except from their parents with he figured was just so they had something.

Damon could sense the boy was thinking about something and gently murmured," I'm here Charlie.... you cna talk to me if you want..".

Charlie shook his head, "it's nothing, lets go get something to eat."

Damon nodded. He let go of the boy and sighed before turning and heading out of the restroom with him towards the Cfateraie (Cafeteria).

Charlie followed him.

Damon sighed as they walked. "Sooo what are you hungry for?" he asked.

"Anything I guess," Charlie's voice sounded too hollow, too soft. His voice cracked slightly and made him sound younger than he really was.
