Amy blushed bright red, she hadn't thought that Jay would respond like that. "You don't think it's... odd?" She asked quietly. She was much less mature than him on the outside. Sure, she was brilliant when it came to schoolwork and her thoughts were always serious, but on the outside she was like a six year old. She still couldn't believe Jay's answer. She squealed happily on the inside as she hesitantly awaited his answer.

Jay smiled ruffling up her hair playfully. "Odd? Why would I think that's odd? That's just the way life works." he replied. "People like each other and some as more than friends." he explained paciently with a slightly teasing smile.

Zara looked around absently, feeling slightly tired. This was deepened by the rhythmic gust of wind over the leaves. The quiet birdsong seemed miles away, but she didn't care. The day was already filled with melodies without it.

Erica smiled, her dark brown eyes softening, "It won't last long, but yes it's nice to have them gone for a while." She drew in a deep breath and sighed letting it back out again. The respite from the voices never lasted long, and the breaks came few and far between. The one thing she had noticed though was when the voice did disappear it was because she felt comfortable with someone, perfectly at ease. That's the way she felt right now with Antonio. He knew about her 'power' and wasn't judging her for it or for the fact that she talked to people that weren't really there. She smiled sighing again but this time in a contented manner still gazing up at him.

Amy giggled very childishly. She stood on her toes and ruffled his hair back. "We'll have to do something about that habit of yours though," She teased back, indicating his habit of running his hands through his hair. She grabbed his hand playfully and said, "First one to your room wins." She actually didn't know where his room was but she just wanted an excuse to hold his hand.

James messed with Zara's hair. "What would you like to do now?" he asked her, looking into her eyes lovingly.

Jay smiled, he'd tried to stop doing that but it hadn't worked so well... then again maybe he hadn't really tried very hard to stop. His smile widened as she grabbed his hand, he squeezed her's playfully. "Your on." He took off pulling her along with him.

Amy squealed as Jay took her flying through the cafeteria and then through the halls. She was trying to keep up but his legs were longer than hers and she had to almost sprint to be able to keep a hold on his hand. "Jay!" She panted as she ran, "I can't keep up! You win!" She could barely talk in between her laughing and gasping for breath. She just hoped he could understand her.

Jay grinned and slowed down to a walk, "So, do I get a prize?" he asked in a slightly teasing tone of voice. He was panting slightly at the exertion from running, but was laughing as well. Amy was fun to be around, she made him laugh. It had been years since he'd been this happy in all honesty.

Amy laughed at Jay as she tried to catch her breath. "How's this?" She responded. And then before she could second-guess herself she raised herself up, turned his head, and gave him a quick kiss on the mouth. She lowered herself back down and continued walking when next to him, scared at what Jay would say, or even do in response. Her face was red but she didn't regret what she had done.
