Ali McQue

Ali gave him a sorry look, she didn't want him to worry about his legs; she didn't care that he was paralized, it could be from the neck down and it still wouldn't matter to her but she could understand how much it might matter to Daniel. She took his hand and gave it a little squeeze, she wanted to tell him that they could get his legs back too... but she didn't know how, maybe after they had brought Mark back her and the little boy could try and figure it out. "What do you mean?' she asked, not really understanding what he had been trying to say.

Daniel laughed and pulled her down onto her lap, and in the same move setting the book onto the bench by Mark.
"I mean- a classic film version proposal. Which pretty much means- will you marry me?" Daniel asked with a smile. His arm was wrapped halfway around her and her radiance just seemed to shine over everything.

Ali stood their stunned, replaying those words she had never thought she would hear... especially here... over in her head. It felt like it took her forever to actually realize what those words meant, what Daniel had just said. Her face lit up and she kissed him "Yes. A million times yes." she said happily, she wouldn't want to be with any other person. For once Mark didn't seem to be grossed out by kissing, he just remained quietly on his bench, but Ali's attention wasn't directed towards the child at the moment.

Daniel
Daniel kissed her back, wishing he could stand and twirl her around. Once upon a time he had had that ability. He had been well-muscled and strong. Now he was a cripple, and thinning to what seemed like average. Tan, blue-eyed normal person. Yet he felt like the luckiest person in the world. The entire scene faded and was replaced by a single figure. The only figure that appealed t him at the moment. The world was still there in his vision, but seemed so small and insignificant that it didn't seem to exist on his mind. Time slowed within his mind as the realization hit him.

She had said yes.

They were getting married.

.:Antonio Wing:.

"The outdoors never used to be my favorite place, when I was with my family. It was always either rainning or boiling hot were I lived," he chuckled, looking at the tall concrete walls that surrounded them "But, hell anyway's better than in there." He muttered, guesturing over his shoulder to the building behind them. He didn't like those stone walls, it made him feel like prison, like he actually was a monster that needed to be locked away "I've been here long enough that I half wish they had locked me up in jail... A life sentence, anything but here." he muttered, he would have liked it better if he was thought of as a killer and not a crazy... anything was better than that.

Erica

"I wouldn't want to be in jail, not that I want to be here either but jail just sounds so much more foreboding to me, besides I 'fit' here no one cares if I talk to imaginary people." Erica replied softly. Jail sounded terrible to here, she'd rather not have to choose between the two. If she had a choice she'd still be out in the world, with her family even if they did hate her. She wrapped her arms around herself hugging herself. In her mind she deserved to be here, there was something wrong with her, and it was better she was away from public eyes. She'd killed her own brother for goodness sake, how much worse can it get. He'd died because of her voices. She felt her eyes tearing up again and wiped them away angrily. She didn't want to cry in front of Antonio, she didn't want to cry at all for that matter.

It took a lot of willpower for Ali to finally pull away from Daniel, she gave a laugh, an almost ditzy smile on her face. She half wanted to pinch herself to make sure she wasn't dreaming. She leaned against him a little, finding his hand and holding it tightly in hers. "We're getting married." she said happily, still barely beleiving she could say those words with truth. She loved Daniel so much, he was the only person she'd ever want to be with. She saw Mark with a hand over his bear's eyes, it probably wouldn't help the bear if that was the intention, Mark's hand was invisible to everyone but her. Ali looked back up at Daniel, wondering how you got married in a place like this, if she knew anything about Dr. Smiley after all this time it would only be a contract of some kind, but even that was more than she had ever thought she would have.

Antonio saw Erica hugging herself, she looked close to tears, she shouldn't just have to feel alone. In this version of prision they were all stuck here together, they weren't supossed to feel so insolated, besides he would hate to see her cry. Antonio walked over to her and gave her a big hug, they were all here for things they hadn't truely done of their own accord. He rubbed her back gently, still not fully sure what he was doing but just knowing he wanted to make her feel better. "You might think you fit here, but no one does... Especially you."

Erica

Erica stiffened as he hugged her not really used to such gestures but then relaxed kind of hugging him back. She appreciated the gesture and his words of encouragement. She'd pretty much never heard those words from anyone, in fact more often than not it was the opposite, especially when it had come to her older siblings. "Thank you Antonio it means a lot to me to hear you say that." she murmured quietly. The stiffness and tension seemed to flow out of her as she relaxed completely against him, closing her eyes.

Antonio hugged her, craddling Erica close, he enoyed comforting her and in a way it helped comfort him. He had used to help people all the time back home; charities and friends, but here no one wanted help or were far past the help he could offer. He might not be able to make the voices go away but he could help a little and that was all that really mattered to him; that he could make a difference, no matter how small "People should say it more often... especially here." he said with a little smile, thinking how many other people in this prison must feel the same way she did.

Daniel smiled, squeezing her hand in between both of his. He laughed, giving her a slight smile.
"We're getting married." He confirmed, "The question is- how? I seriously doubt Dr. Smiley would host a wedding here- or let us out for it either." He said her very concerns out loud. Taking her hands he kissed them lightly.
"Yet I know we'll find a way."

Ali still smiled at him, not really seeing it as a problem, she had known Dr. Smiley for a long time and she knew how his system worked. No, they wouldn't be able to hold a cerimony, she'd never seen anything like that in here but there would be a contract or something "He'll probably get us to sign a contract for him to keep in his records but that's about it..." she said hesitantly, she knew a wedding day was supossed to be a big event but the stupid science jocky upstairs didn't seem to think so. No matter what way they got married, she would still have Daniel.
