Derek nodded to Kody. "I'm Derek." He told him, with a grin. As Kody spoke again, Derek detected the gay edge in it. It made him almost sing. So he wasn't the only weird one aruond here, at least. Derek was bisexual, and a lot of people thought that was weird. But he'd grown used to any taunts or teasing, and accepted his orientation. It made him....him. But before he could say anything else to the guy, Kody departed downstairs to play xbox and drink. Derek half wanted to follow him. He loved video games and alcohal. He tok a step towards the basement, then halted. Maybe he'd exlpore first......

He turned swiftly, smiling at Ari. "I haven't either, sorry. But hey, wanna explore this place? It's huge, and pretty sweet!" He offered up with a friendly smile. Feeling exceptionally friendly today, he didn't want to go into his own room and feel sorry for himself. Plus, everyone here seemed really nice. It was hard to find a group like that, especially when everyone had different personalities.

Ari's smiled widened as he saw the other boy -now named Kody- stroke his chin. Interesting boy, he was. Ari thought to himself. And Yoda, I sound like. Giggling slightly at those thoughts he caught the last part of what Kody said before disappearing into the basement. He watched the boy walk away, a tad shocked. Hopefully he hadn't actually meant getting drunk. Alcohol and himself were not friends. The stuff tasted like dreck...or dirt as American's called it. Whatever, Kody could do what he wanted. Ah! And from his voice he could tell the boy must be gay, or maybe that was just how his voice was. Who knew. But it was nice to think there would be another boy like him. With those thoughts, Ari turned his attention over to the other boy. Exploring. Exactly what he had been wanting to do, except more by himself, but this would be nice also. Get to know who he would be staying with and stuff. "Ich würde zu lieben." He replied, smiling before adding, "Sure. Your name was, erm, Derek, ja? Mine is Ari." So no one had seen any employees? How odd, you would think they would be crawling all over the place. Ah well, he was sure they would be fine until someone came along.

He smiled a Ari. The boy spoke some other language. Derek wasn't sure what he said, and chewed the inside of his lip thoughtfully. Was it German? It sounded like it? Swedish, perhaps? He shrugged to himself, still thinking. Then he realized the boy spoke in english too. "Yup, it's Derek. Ari, that's a cool name. I wish my name was different. Ah, well, that's alright." He muttered, more to himself than Ari, really. Suddenly, he shook out of his thoughts. "Righty-o, so, Ari, my friend, where do you want to explore first?" He asked his new acquaintance, smiling brightly. Full of energy from sitting in the car the whole trip here, he was just bounding to go. With ADHD, it was not likely for Derek to be a couch potato. He tapped his fingers on his leg, and his foot tapped the floor. He couldn't help it. He always had to be moving somehow, no matter how small. "And maybe after we explore we can go play some video games with Kody, if he lets us. I mean, if you want." He didn't know if Ari liked video games or not, so he hastily added 'if you want.' to his sentence. Derek himself was a big video game person, especially if he got bored. Which he did very often.

Ari wanted to do a facepalm. He was used to randomly switching between German and English at home. A small habit of his, and one that was useful at home. Here, probably not so much seeing that not anyone else seemed to be part German. Ah well. "Danke sehr. I like your name. Derek." He replied quietly, before the other boy continued speaking. "I do not know. Really exploring anywhere would be fine with me." The taller boy sure seemed hyper, seeing as he was tapping his fingers and foot. One of those who always liked to move. Not that it was bad, in fact Ari found it cute. Ari wasn't usually one to be moving that much, at least not like Derek. Unless you happened to give him an energy drink or something. Bad, bad idea. Then Derek made the suggestion of going down to play video games, after exploring. He caught the hastily added 'if you want.' Giving the taller boy a warm smiled he nodded. "Wenn Sie möchten." Ari replied. He himself, liked video games. Then again, that depended on the game. Realizing that he had given his answer, again, in German Ari added, "Yes, if you want to. I would not mind."

Spencer waited a moment outside the cabin to take in the details, it was very pretty especially with all the snow around it. She couldn't ignore what she feeling right now though, she was anxious for some reason, something she hadn't felt for a while. Anxious to meet the people who were also staying at the cabin and anxious because a billion things could happen. Realizing she was freezing in the ice cold wind and snow, Spencer clutched her suitcase tightly and walked inside taken a deep breath before walking in. She heard people before she saw them, a few boys and girls hanging around talking but noticeably no manager or anyone who seemed to be working there. Spencer walked in with her head held high, wanting to make a good first impression, then realized no one was looking at her. "Excuse me," she said to no one in particular and more to herself than to the people in the room, "Where can I find the manager." She was confident but still felt shy, she didn't like to talk to people she had never seen in her life before and usually avoided doing that. Suddenly feeling that the room was small, Spencer started to panic and clutched her suitcase. grasping for something to hold on to and reminding herself not to panic, she could get out at any time. She took a deep breath and waited for someone to reply while blushing. What a good first impression she had probably made, now she was probably "that simple-minded, painfully shy, and crazy girl" in the eyes of these people. Usually, she didn't mind what people thought of her but she had tried hard to make a good impression on these specific group. Made she had tried too hard. Spencer sighed inwardly, feeling like all the hope and anxiety she had felt were suddenly gone and all she was left with was the feeling that she had just embarrassed herself in public. That and panic, panic of getting stuck in here and not being able to get out. For a second Spencer wished she was home but remembered that she'd have to stand her parents arguing over her state of mental health all the while knowing she was perfectly fine. Of course they wouldn't believe her. If she had to choose between that or this, she would rather choose this. At least she would probably never see these people in her life again. She tried to remain calm and appear controlled but inside she felt like a mess.

"Oh, well thanks. It's not all that bad, I suppose." He commented about his own name. But he still liked Ari's way better. It was a sweet name. So far, the guy seemed pleasantly nice, which was a relief for Derek. He wasn't overly fond of jerks and snobs, guys who thought they were 'all that.' "Okay, Sweet. Why don't we star upstairs, and work downwards." A bit of a geek, Derek at times made a plan for stuff. So instead of randomly searching the house like one might think he would do, he instead would do it very specifically and thoroughly. What a strange, strange boy he was. He listened to Ari's response about video games. Derek finally put his finger on it. "Aha! That's german, isn't it? Are you from Germany?" He asked xcitedly. He'd always wanted to go to Germany, or travel anywhere, really. But with his background, he had no money whatsoever. He was greatly relieved Ari seemed to be agreeable, and would like to play video games.

Derek clapped his hands together excitedly. "Alrighty then, that's figured out. Let's start upstairs." He said rather briskly, as if giving out orders. He was all go go go, and even exploring a house was a great adventure for him. With that said, he turned heel and dashed towards the widning stairway. Oh would this stay sure be interesting. Least to say, it would not be boring. Especially with Derek running around.
