Silica looked down at the paper she was holding and looked up at the dorm. "This must be it" she said and walked inside. There was no one inside. "I guess it's just me for now." She said and set her bag down on the bottom bunk.

Lin tilted his head to the side and stood in front of the line of first years. "Alright! Welcome to Barringer I guess, I'm Lin, captain of the Hand-to-Hand team. I want all of you to take off everything except for your shirt and pants. No shoes, no jewelry, no jackets. Ladies, tie your hair up into a bun if you can." He instructed before taking his Converse and flannel off, leaving him in gray sweatpants and a loose black muscle shirt.

Stella got her laptop out too and started browsing through Tumblr, all the while trying to maintain small talk. "So... Any siblings? Or pets?" She asked politely.

"No pets or siblings. Just me most of the time." She said as she quickly typed on her laptop, writing.

Stella hooked her legs on the rail of the bed and hung down, facing Elena upside down. "That's kinda sad." She remarked, swaying back and forth slightly.

Elena looked up from her laptop, "I don't mind really. I suppose I'm used to it now. What about you? Do you have any siblings or pets?" She asked.

"I have an older brother named Ben. He just graduated from here as a fencer, actually. And I guess Lin kinda counts as a brother. I have a tarantula named Harvey, too. He's actually over," Stella pointed towards the tank on her desk, "there."

Elena got up and looked over at Harvey, "Do you ever hold him?" She asked as she peered into the cage.

Stella walked over next to Elena and reached her hands into the tank, scooping Harvey up. "Yeah, all the time. You wanna hold him?" She asked, smiling.

Just the hint of a smile appeared on Elena's face, "Sure" she said while cupping her hands. She'd never held a spider before, or any pet at all for that matter.

"Don't freak out if he moves or anything." Stella simpered before placing her cupped hands into Elena's and slowly opening them, leaving Harvey in Elena's hands.
