perѕoɴαlιтy: Skylar is the sort of girl that loves to smile.
She's bubbly and open pretty much all the time, but she has
her fair share of secrets, just like everyone else. There are
things about her that she doesn't want people to know, such
as the fact that she cuts. Skylar would be the last person
anyone would suspect to be subject to this, but ever since
the stress and anxiety of just life in general had caught up to
her (which would be somewhere around the 8th grade), she'd
cut tiny little marks on her left wrist. She often wears bracelets
to hide them, mostly out of shame. Pride is not something she
possesses out of this.
Overall, Skylar has surprisingly low self-esteem, even with her
looks and brains. If given a compliment, her cheeks flush and she
simply shakes her head or something of the sort. That's one of the
reasons she tends to dress in regular t-shirts and skinny jeans with
some old sneakers. If no one really notices her, there won't be
anything to draw attention to, right? So she simply likes to fade
into the background if possible, especially at school where her peers
could either praise or bully her.
Still, Skylar loves to smile and laugh. Her favorite things to do would
consist of playing her guitar, singing, or writing. Sometimes she likes
to swim, but mainly enjoys activities that are indoors, like music or
drawing. Her creative abilities are strong and her athletic abilities are not,
as she describes it. She remains with a flat stomach, though she's not sure
how, since she "eats like a horse." Beneath all of her insecurities and looks,
Skylar really is just a regular teenager who loves to smile and have fun.

ғαмιly: Skylar has a very small
family consisting of her father, Greg,
and her older brother, Joseph.
She loves them both to death and
would do pretty much anything for
them. Her mother passed away of
breast cancer when Skylar was only
two years old, so for her, it's always
been just her and the guys. Naturally,
Skylar is somewhat of a tomboy due to
where she lives (with her father and
brother) and where she works (at a car shop
owned by Greg). Their small family of three
gets along quite smoothly, though are in a bit
of a rut when it comes to finances. Skylar would
never admit it to anyone, mainly out of pride,
but the Reeses are slowly losing their apartment
due to taxes and debt. They all work as hard as
they can to do well in the car shop and pay off
loans, but Skylar really isn't sure how much longer
they'll last with only the three of them. Since the
rest of their family is either dead or have been drafted
overseas, the only people to turn to are themselves.
