"I've wanted to do the same so many times Emerald," said Matt in response. He just looked away from her, not wanting to explain himself. He took the small vial and note from his pocket and showed her. "It's been in there for five years, five long years..." he said, but this time mainly to himself. He could understand it all now, all he had to do was think of Casper as an almost duplicate of himself, just slightly better, more honest, more caring, and the sort of person who'd only even look at poison when he felt everyone would be better with him dead. Matt was selfish, the only reason he had that bottle was in case he should need to end his own suffering, he barely ever thought about others. That's what had shattered his heart. His brother was so noble, and so much better than he. At least Casper had tried to make things right, even if it had made them so so wrong. Matthew doubted if he'd ever have done the same.

Emerald frowned and slowly shook her head. She could see the vial and note out of the corner of her eye but she couldn't bear the sight so she turned her head away. "Why?" she asked. "I've had plenty of rough times, so many times when I wish I would just be put out of my misery. But I could never bring myself to do it. How could you do that to yourself? I don't understand." she said softly, her face still turned away from the vial and letter.

Saya wrote the things from the forest that she needed and waited for Emerald to get back so that she could see if there are others that know plants.

Arowin sighed and stood up. Feeling sorry for herself wasn't going to get the job done. She wrapped a bandaged and splint tight around her wrist and took a leather gauntlet and strapped that on tight. She faced her face and neck to clean off the blood and glanced in the mirror with a smile. She was back. The old Arowin was back and nothing was going to stand in her way. She laughed and walked out of her room and down the staircase lighting candles. She didn't know if she could see Chris. The Hood meant so much to ehr and so did he but he was never around. Maybe it was time to move on but she was slightly unsure. She would wait to see how things went. She smiled to Rebecca as she passed her in the dinning room heading for the kitchen. Arowin was ready for war, and she was about to cause one. She walked confidently to the stable and stroked Ace's kneck. "My good boy, you stay here and rest but I am off to have some fun." she said and walekd to the stall near the back. Her brother's old war horse was standing there watching her, "You my boy need a true name. I will call you Pride." she said and tacked him up. She then tacked up Lara, the chestnut thoroughbred mare belonging to Rebecca. She then walked inside and smiled at Rebecca. "Beccy, we are going to have some fun." she said.

"Lord help those poor people now." Rebecca said with a laugh. She nodded and changed quickly into breechers and a white shirt. Men's wear but it was best for what Arowin had in mind. She then grabbed her fire breathing stuff and ran out with Arowin and attached it to Lara's saddle and mounted up. She pulled back all her brown hair into its tight platt again and followed out after Arowin. They headed through the door and then Arowin did something strange. SHe headed to the front gates and opened them wide. "We will be paying the King's stable a visit tonight." she said with a grin and then rode into the forest tills he came aross Frank, Matt, Saya and Emerald.

"Em! I'm back!" she said with a wicked grin, "And this time I am ready for anything!" she said and raised her broad sword into the sky as Pride reared up. This was the old Arowin, the one who had all thought dead. This was Arowin, the once leader of The Hood ready to show her fire again. "Come with us! Tonight the King will not sleep! To night we will visit his stables." she said turning the prancing Prdie around them. The horse had every bit of energy that The Hood had once possesed and used. "The Hood will grow strong again!" Arowin said louder than needed but she was on a high. The mark on ehr neck mattered nothing to her. Her spirit had returned to her and nothing, nothing would stop it now.



Mean while Sandy was closing up for the night and chasing the last of her customers out. She looked up at the dark castle with a stiff face. She hated the King. The tax collectors had just been knocking at ehr door and taken nearly everything. She would not stand for this. He had pushed her too far today. She remember The Hood and knew they would have a place for her. She paced all her things including ninty pesent of the bar's contenets into a huge wagon and then headed round to the stable.

Kyle watched smiling as they where taken in eagerly by the village. A few places where burnt down and he knew his father was to blame. He looked at Stephan and nodded. "I think it is time we showed my fatehr out of the kingdom. Too long have these people suffered." he said looking around and handing out gold to the people.

Guys I want to change Kyle's age to 15. We don't have to change the others but I think it will be best if he was 15.

Emerald's head shot up at the sound of Arrowin. She looked over to see her friend talking nonsense. 'Well if you weren't here then where on earth have you been?' she thought to herself. When she saw how excited Arrowin was she grinned. She had that same fire in her belly that she used to have, and Emerald understood what she had meant by "I'm back." Emerald grinned and let go of Frank, forgetting about everything that had just happened. "Well then, count me in." she said, giving Frank and Matt a quick glance to say, come on you two gotta come as well so say something. "What exactly do you have in mind?" she asked, looking back at Arrowin.

"Can I ask if any one else in your group knows about the natural spices that grow near here?" Saya asked an gave her a map. "That will show you a secret way into and out if the castle that id used by staff."

Emerald looked over at Saya and smiled. "Change of plans. Since you know good ways around the castle, you can come and help us if you want." she offered. She knew the castle well but it had been a while since she'd been in there and things were a bit hazy. Plus, she wanted to see if Saya could handle being with The Hood.

Arowin laughed circling the hyper horse. "I was thinking we raid the King's stable." she said looking at Emerald. SHe gave the new girl a glance and a raised eyebrow. She doubted she would make it out here. "Mount up guys." she said happily. "Lets get going." she said heading off again.

Emerald smirked. "Sounds good to me." she said with a shrug. It actually was a pretty good idea. How would the castle dwellers be able to get around quickly without their horses? It would make then much easier to catch and kill. She adjusted her seat on Envy and looked towards Frank and Matt, a little sadness creeping into her eyes. "Come on, you two. We can talk more later." she said before nudging Envy into a canter after Arrowin.

Arowin took the lead and drew her bow and a few arrows at the ready. They where now on the edge of the forest, not far from the castle. They would have to go through the village, there would be a few measily guards in the way but the arrows would deal with them. "Em." she called glancing abckwards. "Your the leader, take your place." she said falling in behind her as they burst from the forest. A few guards glanced up startled ande ach got a pitch black arrow through their thin leather brest plates and fell to the ground unable to shout out in time.
