Ella had stayed by the captain's doors. She had heard what Milo said about her, and never going out with her. She dropped down to the ground and crossed her legs. She sat there and drank the rum, little by little, hurt as ever.

[intriguing]

"Ella" Ingo called."Is that you? I've got some soup here if you want some."

[SpreadingDread]

"I'm good." Ella called. She opened the door to the captain's quarters and scooted in. She wanted to be left alone.

[intriguing]

Ingo could sense that Ella was upset but didn't know her well enough to check she was ok. I'll leave her for a bit thought Ingo.

Ella backed to a corner and let the tears flow. She thought Milo had at least like her a little. Isnt that why he helped me, instead of leaving me there? Ella thought.

[intriguing]

I wonder what's upset her? thought Ingo, was the smell of my soup really that bad? Ingo finished her own soup and began to scrub and tidy the deck because there was a huge amount of grime builiding up in one patch which she kept slipping on.
As she scrubbed the girl thought about who her mother might be and why she hasd lived on the streets most of her life, had her mother not wanted her? Had she died in childbirth and her father couldn't take care of her.
